Great location, very clean fabulous building. My only thing concerned me is that it seemed anyone can just walk in and enter lifts to the rooms. Security was tighter on an evening but still non one seemed to worry who was just walking in.
Other than that the walls seemed very thin so could hear others chatting etc.
But good size rooms clean location great - perfect for the one night we needed.
I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Ibis Styles Liverpool, and a huge part of that was thanks to Fayne, who went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional.
We arrived four hours before check-in to drop off our luggage, but Fayne kindly checked us in early—completely free of charge. This thoughtful gesture made such a difference after a long journey. On the day we checked out, she allowed us to store our luggage for longer so we could explore the city until our train time. When we returned to collect it, Fayne even offered us complimentary tea and coffee, which was such a kind and welcoming touch.
The hotel itself was clean, stylish, and comfortable, but the staff, especially Fayne, truly made our stay memorable. Her warmth and helpfulness set a high standard for hospitality. We’ll definitely be back, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Liverpool!
I have to be honest, the room I was in was about the size of a prison cell! Not that I've been in one before!! 🤣🤣 However, it was clean and had everything you needed for an overnight stay. I'm sure there's bigger ones available.
The bathroom was like a modular room. It was a little worn in places, just water marks and damage, but again, all you need for a night! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good but there was a bit of noise from the street for a while, which you have to expect being so close to so many bars etc, but it wasn't bad! Based on the price and everything else, it's a really well priced option and one I'll definitely be checking out again!
ゲゲストGood location nearby shops and the train station 5 mins walk. Basic room but clean. Shower was great and the river view was decent. Rooms are soundproof for the busy road outside which is great. Breakfast was lovely and great choice of cooked and cold food. Coffee not nice but that's personal choice.
only down is no leisure facility even though there's one right next door. Noisy fan in the room
ゲゲストmy wife and I had a very enjoyable weekend break at Ropewalks. the hotel was centrally located, which suited us as we were away without kids and wanted to make the most of that. breakfast was your standard fare, but there was a chef cooking to order. the service staff at breakfast were excellent. would recommend for a boozy city break. thr hotel is neat to a lot of late bars and night clubs which was noisy and may be an issue for some travelers.
VValGreat value hotel with friendly & helpful service. Room decor a little dated but impeccably clean and with comfortable beds.
Hotel is old airport terminal and there are old planes on the ‘airside’ behind the building!
JJanieLizNegative points from our stay
I travelled with my 11 year old grandson, I booked us a twin room, which we got. Unfortunately, the room was an adjoining room to a double and the ”activity” noises from the other room were so bad that we checked out at 11pm as I didn't want my grandson to have to experience that. It literally sounded like they were in the room with us. I would perhaps suggest that in the future you look at your guest list and unless adjoining rooms are with the same party, where children are in a twin, look to accommodate the couple in another part of the hotel where possible.
I was disappointed that we were expected to pay £5 each to use the pool as I have never stayed at an hotel where it is not included in the room price.
Positive
All the staff were really friendly and helped as much as they could. The night Duty Manager was especially helpful and empathetic to my room dilemma but was unable to find us an alternative twin room, only a double which was not appropriate for us.
We ate in the bar and the food was exceptional although a little pricey.
The location was good and the hotel was easy to find. Be careful when you leave as there are two speed bumps on the exit, and no matter how slow you are going, it feels and sounds like your cars insides are dropping out.
Rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable.
ゲゲストI’m a rather particular solo traveller with a sensitivity to light, noise, and temperature, so comfort matters enormously to me. My two-night stay at Hope Street Hotel, in room G02, was nothing short of delightful. The real manual key, spacious layout, and wooden floors created a welcoming, homely atmosphere.
The highlight was undoubtedly the free-standing bath with its view over the festively lit Hope Street; it was such a treat to relax and watch the world go by that I happily cancelled my spa booking. I’d initially worried the central location might be noisy, but I slept soundly throughout.

Tips:
• Bringing a few battery-powered tea lights made the bathroom feel cosy, as the lighting is quite minimal.
• The pillows, while luxurious, were on the softer side. If you prefer firmer support, a small memory foam pillow is worth packing.
• It can get a touch chilly at night, so turning the heating up to 26 degrees keeps things comfortable.
