The Banhoek Lodge in Stellenbosch offers a truly enchanting stay. The room was beautifully designed, blending comfort and elegance, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and lush vineyards. Waking up to such scenery was a highlight of our trip. The breakfast was delightful, with fresh and flavorful options to start the day perfectly. A serene and luxurious escape in the heart of wine country—highly recommended!
This is probably the best guest house you will ever stay in .. It just excels at well . Everything.. The rooms are extremely spacious.. with great sleep quality.. huge walk in showers .. Terrific freshly cooked breakfasts .. And then there are the most amazing staff.. Billy and Lovemore .. I’m thinking of changing my name buddy.. we’re just there when needed. Thank you X It’s location is ideal too as just a five minute walk to the main road full of restaurants/bars etc. Steve .. I wish you and your lovely wife all the best and good luck for the future.. Not that you need it as Le Petit Paris is stunning and I,m thinking now how lucky you had availability on our dates. Comes very highly recommended. My advice would be book early .. not many rooms here .. Enjoy !
We had a spiffing stay at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the upstairs in the charming old traditional thatch roof building, staying in the room call Superior King Suite 2. From this room, you can look down the valley to see the mountains, as well as overlooking the beautiful resort pool. The pool is a very good size and features comfy sun beds, perfect for relaxation. The guest house is just a short walk from the main town, making it very serene and quiet. While sitting in the garden, you can hear the soothing sounds of songbirds and crickets. The staff are incredibly kind, with Elmarie standing out for her attentiveness and warmth. :-) The breakfast is delicious, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. look forward to our return trip, Many Thanks
A charming boutique guesthouse well located within 5mins walk of the main bars and restaurants of Stellenbosch with extremely helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in a double room upstairs which was quite pokey, although we only intended on spending minimal time in the room so that didn't really matter. The bed however was quite short, I'm only 5'11” yet my feet were hanging off the end! The room couldn't really take a larger bed however. Despite the above our 4 night stay really was fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from all of Stellenbosch's bars and restaurants. Breakfast was included was was served a la carte style from a rather impressive menu. Their eggs benedict and french toast were particuarly enjoyable. The small pool area out the back was perfect for a short afternoon cool off after visiting the wine estates in the area. The pool is only small but it is all you need for a quick dip to cool off. There were 6 or so sun loungers which were extremely comfortable. What really made out stay special was the staff, from the moment we arrived they couldn't do enough for you! Our welcome was warm and included a small safety briefing of the area which was heartfelt, the staff really care about your safety here. That said, Stellenbosch felt incredibly safe compared to Cape Town, walking from the hotel to the bars and restaurants and back again at night was absolutely fine here. Throughout our stay we had a number of requests, including some emergency laundry we needed doing at the weekend. Despite the hotel's laundry hours not including weekends the staff went over and above to do our laundry, they also arranged us a private transfer for our onwards journey. They gave us their whatsapp number upon arrival and advised we could contact 24/7 should we need anything, another additional touch which you don't get everywhere!
We had a wonderful stay at this very beautiful Wine Farm. We stayed in one of the cottages near to the lake which was well presented, clean and all the facilities you require. Breakfast was plentiful and the catering staff were most helpful. There are also many excellent restaurants in this area of Stellenbosch and when we revist again we will definitely be staying at Webersburg.
We had a lovely stay, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a decent spread and was top notch. The free wine tasting added to the experience. Close to the town. Would 100% recommend to anyone.
Our group of 11 guests occupied six rooms during our stay. We would like to commend the staff at theLAB, who were exceptional in their efforts to meet our needs and handled various situations with professionalism. The breakfasts were particularly outstanding. Regrettably, our overall experience was marred by numerous issues in each of the rooms we occupied. Below are specific examples: Blocked toilets Non-functional lights, both manually and via smart technology Blinds that failed to operate Outside lights that could not be turned off, resulting in excessive brightness in pool-facing rooms, which disrupted sleep. One staff member had to return after midnight to assist with this issue. Showers with either very low water pressure or complete failure; when relocated to another room, the shower conditions were similarly inadequate, leaving guests exposed while using the facilities. Staff were unable to resolve maintenance issues such as fixing lights or connecting them to smart applications. Inconsistencies in room amenities, such as kettles present without accompanying tea or coffee supplies. In summary, while theLAB is marketed as a high-tech, upscale hotel, our experience did not reflect the value we expected for our investment. I asked for my feedback to be forwarded to the owner, and was promised a call from him. That was last month. I've heard nothing. It's a pitty.
We recently stayed at Grande Villa. We truly loved the experience and felt very welcomed by Claudia. She went out of her way to make sure we were looked after and even gave us an upgrade. The Villa is perfectly located.....in a quiet part of town but only a few minutes walk into some ”action”. The roof terrace is just so special and I enjoyed a sundowner with the stillness of autumn. No fuss and very minamilast - perfect for a night's getaway!
