Overall, the stay was quite satisfactory. The only downside is that the room is next to a shared toilet, and noise from the door opening and closing is noticeable.
ゲゲストThe ambiance of this place was quite unique, with dim lighting and not many electric lights, which gave it a rustic charm. One of the highlights was the ability to cook meals, which added a nice touch of convenience. Plus, there are plenty of shops nearby where you can easily pick up groceries or essentials.
ゲゲストMotel is very clean with lot of kitchenware. Staff is friendly n there is a self service laundry ( paid NZ8 for a wash n drying ). If you self drive there is a good resturant called Tititea with excellent food like the lamb shoulder, venison n fish. There is another one short distance away called Hook ( from lake to table ) where you catch salmon from lake n have the resturant to cook it…. If not go for the salmon platter also very good.
ゲゲストKitchen supplies could be improved, because there was no dishwasher and no range hood installed for ventilation, plus there was a scary sign ordering travelers not to cook fragrant food. Travelers arrive from all over the world with different food habits, so not sure what's considered unacceptable to cook. The electric cooking stove was old and kind of broken. The windows have no screens so it was difficult to leave them open without insects crawling in and we got multiple mosquito bites. Room on the small side for families as there was no separation. We appreciated the free washing machine and dryer, and detergent cost NZ$2.
