I feel fortunate to have stayed at Malhadinha on four different occasions, and each time it gets better and better. The generosity of spirit that permeates Malhadinha is remarkable. It truly deserves its Relais & Châteaux status, as it radiates charm, comfort, character, courtesy, calm, and fabulous cuisine, along with exceptional wines. Thank you for everything you do to make your guests leave feeling they've had a month's holiday in only 2 nights!

We have just had 3 nights at herdade da malhadinha nova. Our room was really comfortable and very good value. The air con and Wi-Fi are incredibly good. The breakfasts were delicious, and it is so peaceful. We enjoyed the pool and walking around the estate. We ate in every evening and the restaurant is fabulous. The bbq on Sunday night was both good value and excellent quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

We were a party of six and booked the wine tour and tasting with some tapas on a Saturday afternoon. Our expectations were high having seen the hotel reviews and the price of the wines Malhadinha offer. We arrived a little early and were asked to wait because two others would be joining us but they were still having lunch. 15 minutes after the start time, they still hadn't shown up so we started the tour of the facilities. Our guide was friendly and the site was quite impressive but he seemed a bit in a hurry. When we got to the wine tasting there were 4 wines - we have been to many wine tastings in Portugal and elsewhere and the amount of wine offered was very small. Also, the whole process felt very rushed - after starting 15 minutes late, we finished 15 minutes early! Perhaps our host wanted to get away on a Saturday afternoon. Overall not a good experience which has put us off trying the restaurant especially if any wine pairings are handled in the same way as the tasting. In contrast, the wine tasting at nearby Herdade dos Grous was a fantastic experience.
