3HB グアラナ - オールインクルーシブ(3HB Guarana - All Inclusive)

This was the first holiday me and my partner had been on since his two strokes, and it did not disappoint! From the minute we walked through the door we were blown away by this little piece of paradise. Everything was clean, rooms were comfy, staff were helpful, facilities were great. Entertainment was good and The Crazy Show was hilarious! We also loved how accessible the hotel was as it’s hard to find somewhere so good for this. There were ramps all around the hotel and lifts to the rooms and various floors. The best part was the ramp into the pool, meaning my partner was able to go in the water, which was wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better holiday and can’t put into words how much we enjoyed staying at this hotel! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We enjoyed an incredible week here in October half term. The staff on reception were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were fortunate to have a room in the family block which was only 2 storeys high so no issue with waiting for lifts etc as could use stairs. Facilities were amazing. Pool bar, snack bar, sports bar, main bar and the restaurants. My son was in his element in the sports bar watching every football or rugby game showing in the evenings. As others have said the pool outside isn’t heated, so quite chilly. We did have a dip but didn’t stay in too long. Sun beds in the swimming pool were nice. Just a shame bit cold to sunbathe there. The indoor pool is nice (and heated!) but got very busy as people wanted to be warm and it’s only small. Sun beds were plentiful. Could always find one, no reserving at all. Which was great.Several self service drink stations for on tap wine, beer and soft drinks. The Portuguese cider was lovely. As were the cocktails and mocktails. Staff in bars were so friendly, attentive and pleasant. Thank you for introducing my husband to White Port - he loved it! Entertainment staff tried hard to put on things for the adults and parents but not pushy if you don’t want to join in. Enjoyed the water aerobics/ dancing. Good fun. The rooms were light, comfortable and airy. Small fridge in room - although ours didn’t work. No kettle in room but we had read this on reviews and took our own travel mugs and kettle so wasn’t a problem. Beds and sofa bed were comfortable and family room worked well for us and our 11 & 14 year old sons. Apar**ents clean and new towels provided daily. Free water also provided. Left in room and additional can be requested at reception. The food - main restaurant has a huge range of food available. Always a fresh pizza bar, pasta bar to keep the kids happy. But lots of lovely meats, fish, rice dishes, roast potatoes and vegetables. Lovely choice of desserts too, definitely best all inclusive food we have had. Piping hot plates means food warm too! We preferred opting to eat outside as found indoors too noisy and enjoyed hearing the outside musicians playing whilst eating. The snack bar throughout day provided wraps, sandwiches, toasties, burgers, fruit and cake if you feel peckish in between meals at all. We also ate in the Oriental restaurant- wow sushi heaven! Sushi is our kid’s favourite and their eyes lit up at the beautiful display. The oriental food was lovely, meats, fish dishes, spring rolls etc. Being a smaller restaurant was much quieter and more peaceful- do advise booking early as slots do fill up quickly. The Mediterranean restaurant was our favourite- grilled meats, fish, lovely sauces. Delicious! Whilst away it was my husbands birthday. The receptionist arranged for a chilled bottle of Prosecco to be in our room when we got back from day out. There was also a lovely hand written card. Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, check in was good, room was good, shame about the pillows! Most of the staff were great, some of the restaurant staff could have tried harder. The food was possibly the best all inclusive we have had. Oriental restaurant was poor in our eyes. The hotel was always very clean. Entertainment was a mixed bag. The shows put on by the entertainment teams were poor, the Abba tribute night was appalling. The fence on the walkway to the child's play area was falling down and dangerous. The biggest problem was the outside pools, far too cold even for our kids, for a family hotel, it should be heated to a certain level. Inside pool was ok but stuck in a dingy basement. Overall, great stay but we wouldn't return due to the pools, such a bit part of a holiday like this and when they cant be used, its a real shame.

What's not to love, a weekend break to this hotel was amazing especially the oriental/sushi restaurant. Fab pool areas and very friendly staff made our break one we won't forget in a hurry and hope to return. The crazy show was one to remember with some very funny sketches.

This hotel is amazing! It was our first time in Portugal and we were so glad we stayed at 3HB Guaraná. We were a party of 9 so not the easiest size to accommodate, especially in restaurants, but we were able to make reservations and be seated promptly every day. The food was lovely, plenty of different choices daily and the snack bar was excellent, with salads and sandwiches as well as the usual fast food options. Our favourite restaurant was the oriental one, the sushi was some of the best I’ve eaten, the hot mains were a little disappointing though as the meat was often tough or overcooked. That said, to have that much choice and serve that many people, on the whole we were really impressed with the food. The drinks were good quality and the self-serve option was genius! The rooms were great, plenty of storage and so very clean, in fact the whole site is immaculate and the grounds are beautiful. Staff were really helpful throughout and very friendly too. I think the only ******* we had all week were the cold pools - which was a result of the weather - and we found the towel process annoying. It’s great that the hotel is being eco conscious but our towels were soggy and wet and not drying due to the weather so an option to change them more than once a day would have been better. Would definitely return to this hotel and try others in the group.

3hb guarana is a beautiful hotel which is very family friendly. If your children are 4+ there are lots of things for them to do with an activity schedule in the kids club and multiple pools for them to play in. And a kids disco at 8pm every night! I would say what they offer for under 4s could be improved though. You can take under 4s to the kids club but obviously can't leave them there but most of the toys are designed for older. It would be amazing to see some sensory toys etc. Also a suggestion from me would be a enclosed play area next to the pool bar where there is currently an area that is underutilised with palm trees and fake grass. That way your under 3s could play in a soft play while you enjoyed a cocktail etc. and burn off some of that energy! The food is amazing. Lots of choice in the main restaurant and they do mix it up at lunch and dinner every day. They normally have at least one vegan option (my mother in law who came with us was vegan). We tried the Mediterranean restaurant but unfortunately it had a lot of meat and not really any veggie/vegan options. Based on that we did cancel the oriental booking we made as we were worried about options for those of us who don't eat meat and our baby. They were really friendly when I asked what my baby who's dairy intolerant can have. The all inclusive cocktails were a bit watered down and not the best I've had. Same as the fruit juices you get in the daytime. The fresh fruit juices in the breakfast were amazing though! The whole hotel was very clean. I didn't once see anything that wasn't 5* cleanliness on the whole trip. Apart from my toddler and the floor below him at mealtimes 🤣 the waitresses were lovely. And were so quick and attentive! The bedrooms were also very clean and nice. With fridges too! They were a bit small for the amount you pay to stay at the room and we did struggle with that a little bit as our baby/toddler likes to crawl around and practise his walking which is hard to do in that space. So we did play in the hallway a lot as for some reason their hallways are massive!! The only real negative that happened on the holiday was my husband became very unwell after eating some chicken on the Thursday lunchtime. So he missed almost 2 days of the holiday. But having told the hotel they did phone to check on him the next day. That did put him off having some of the meat for the last few days. With mass catering it happens more than people realise so we still wouldn't mark the hotel down on their food! Overall, we were very happy with our stay and hope this review was useful to anyone looking at booking it for a family holiday!

Coming to the hotel with special needs child it was extremely hard. Most nights he was eatting in the room as the restaurant was too loud. He never went in the pool It was freezeing. Rooms was only cleaned in late afternoon. Key card to get electic to work 2 times it broke. Then the plug to the bath broke. Few of Reception staff i found unhelpful & jet2 staff just sat on there phones all day really helpful too. The food was hit & miss. Went to get a drink at the pool Bar told i was closed then next the lady next to me was served no idea why, no drinks after 11 i went down for a soft drink bar or Drink machine was closed. Our room was far too small for what we needed. Its a really shame as it was family holiday of the year and i couldn't wait to get home. I will Contacting my travel agent tomorrow to see if there any they can do for us after this upsetting stay.

First time in Potugal and what a great hotel. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and if you need anything they make sure you get it straight away. Big shout out to the bar staff - always smiling and helpful. Hotel very clean throughout. Family room was interconnecting - good when you have 2 teenage girls getting ready.... Spacious pool area with no problem getting a sun bed. Pools are cold but then they seem to be everywhere nowadays. Toddler splash park in a separate area. Food very good with plenty of choice and there is also a snack bar open outside of normal restaurant hours that stays open until late. Entertainment pretty good most nights especially D-String who varied their set from one week to the next. Hotel entertainment team also tireless in their work with plenty of activities during the day to keep you entertained if you want to be. Overall a brilliant hotel and would not hesitate to return.
