We can certainly recommend the Oasis. The hotel was great, good service, clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful The food on the buffet dinner was excellent. It was so good we didn't bother to go into Alghero to eat. We were sorry we didn't book half board! The town of Alghero is about 15 minutes by bus which stops outside the hotel. It is about 45 minutes walk into town. Certainly worth the journey, a lovely old Italian town. There is a weekly market which is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Only downside was the journey from Olbia Airport, there is an airport at Alghero right on the doorstep which jet 2 don't use! Ryanair do!

Just spent 2 weeks here. Housekeeping excellent and rooms spotless. All staff extremely friendly. The food at the buffets was varied and excellent with great choices. Just bring a travel kettle as there are no tea & coffee making facilities although there is a fridge in the room. The pool area is immaculately kept.

Spent a lovely week at Hotel Oasis with my 9yr old son. On arrival we were met at reception by the lovely Alberto, helpful and friendly he arranged our very straight forward check-in. Overall we found the staff friendly, helpful and professional. The pool was great, plenty of sunbeds that were clean and comfortable and the lifeguards were all very helpful and attentive . Hotel room was serviced daily, cleaned and fresh towels. Mini fridge in room which was a plus. The food was really good, the evening buffet was amazing and the pool bar served great food too. Lovely beach across the road and some more along the 3km walk to the town. It was nice and peaceful at night and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The only negative if I had to give one would be the aircon was a little noisy. All round great choice of hotel.

The pool restaurant is a study in inefficiency de luxe . The waiters running around like headless chickens with the head down. When I try to order at the bar they tell me I have to order at the table but… With a minimum of training like use a serving tray and never go empty handed they would rise efficiency by at least by 50%. Never the less did we leaf hungry!

I had already paid when I saw the really bad review saying not to book as it was a noisy hotel and lots of other very negative comments. But it was a lovely clean hotel we stayed in room 139 myself and my two teenage children. The pool area is very clean lots of sun beds. Table tennis ( my son beat me every time) The Bar and reception staff all very pleasant and helpful with information. The beach opposite is beautiful. We did book the beach bus and visited 2 other beaches but quite honestly the beach opposite was the best one. Breakfast was varied and the cakes were delicious! My son loved the freshly made coffee. It’s a 40 minute walk into Alghero Town we caught the bus into town but walked back and it’s safe to. Booked a boat trip in the harbour but only for half a day as it was so expensive. Only 2 negatives. It was 84 euros city tax ( wasn’t expecting that) And yes there was abit of noise I think we were above the actual kitchen. But it didn’t bother us and I would come to this hotel again for sure. 👍
