Gal Oya Lake Club

What a fabulous place to stay. We were in a Glamping tent but what luxury. It was great. The restaurant was good and food excellent. The staff were soo friendly and helpful. We met the boss (Thomas) and were made so welcome. There are two outstanding swimming pools and def everything had a view of the lake. We loved it. The area was great for walking with lanes surrounding the property. We did think though that they should put an English choice on the menu for breakfast and also prices for the beer as no where to be seen. These are really small points as the stay was outstanding .

The room was brand new, with a very spatious bathroom. Especially the scenery was great, with a lovely pool and view on the lake. We were served a nice dinner (large prawns) and chose for a Sri Lankan breakfast, which really surprised as! We also chose for a head and shoulders massage of 30 minutes. This was a fantastic experience. The guy doing this was very professional and did a great job. Above all, this was not expensive (10 dollars). We recommend.

We visited Gal Oya Lake Club with 8 People. We had a wonderful time during our 3 day stay. The location, surrounding and wildlife is gorgeous. The hospitality and the staff are outstanding. Even the tents have a brandnew AC. The food was perfect. The next trip to Gal Oya is booked. I can highly recommend the place. Christine from Germany

We enjoyed our two nights at lake club. The location- next to the safari entrance makes it the ideal place if you are looking to spend quality time looking for animals. The hospitality was warm very personalised and endearing- a big shout out to Samson who was attentive witty enganging and very efficient The canopy on the lake is a great place to relax or meditate All in all a super experience.we will certainly visit again.

Hidden gem in a rural area. We were 2 night is a tent with a beautiful view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Anthony made our stay excellent The hotel and swimming pool is stylish decorated. In the neighbourhood you can visit Gal Oya np by boat or car. We also visited monastery in the neighbourhood which was very interesting.

The hotel is very beautiful, designed with excellent taste, situated in a rural, quiet village, bordering on a lake. The staff is very friendly, hard working and they are doing their utmost to make you feel at home. The restaurant staff, Anthony and Samson are the best. They fulfill all your wishes. I would highly recommend this hotel, it’s a bit British with beautiful crockery and very stylish grand rooms in a spacious garden.
