If they didn’t charge S/.8 for a bottle of water in the room, I’d have given 5*. The gym does have drinking water on a free dispenser. Cannot fault the view of the Plaza de Armas from the restaurant. Evening meal was reasonable and breakfast good. We had a small balcony with seating outside our room. Yes, it was a view of a painted brick wall. You could see the sky. The room was a reasonable size even if the beds were the smallest we saw in Peru (2 * UK Queen size beds). Ps traffic in Arequipa was the worst we saw in Peru.

Loved this hotel so much I ended up doubling the length of my visit. Location could not be any better, just a few minutes walk from the main square, the street feels quiet and safe with good local amenities. The hotel is modern, clean, tastefully decorated, even comes equipped with a music room where you can play instruments and listen to records, which I loved. All the staff are friendly and beyond helpful. The breakfasts were to die for, so delicious, and the attention to detail (like the cookies left in the room before bed) and the way the beds are made make the stay all the more special. I couldn’t have wished for a better stay whilst in Arequipa, if you’re considering staying here look no further, I’ll definitely be coming back. Run down, unclean, lack of facilities. Despite how lovely this hostel looks on photos it is very run down and not well kept. The pool is unclean and all of the communal cushions are dirty. Our bedroom didn’t lock and the door was hard to open and close meaning you couldn’t come in quietly. Our AVT and white water rafting trip was cancelled and we weren’t made aware until 10 minutes before when we asked about it. We were then advised a refund for this would take up to 20 days. We were also not made aware at all that the water was going to be off for over 24 hours. No water, at all. No toilets, no showers, no notice, whilst they continued to accept new guests who were seemingly unaware too.
