Sweety Club Solimar Emerald All Inclusive

Just got back from an amazing week here with my boyfriend. Solimar Emerald is a small, family run hotel which means it is quite quiet and relaxed. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, we were given a welcome cocktail on arrival. Our room was clean and spacious overlooking the pool, which itself was large and well looked after - and there was no morning rush for sun beds. We chose to stay all inclusive - the food was tasty, varied and fresh and there was a large variety of drinks, including cocktails were very good. There is entertainment on every night which is lively and fun, and although it is mostly aimed at the French guests it was inclusive for everyone. The hotel is a short walk (5 mins) to the ***** of shops, tavernas, bars and the beach. We also got the bus into Rethymnon (bus stop is opposite the hotel) which only took 10/15 minutes, so the hotel is in a great location. I would really recommend staying at this hotel, we had a brilliant week.

I am completely satisfied with the Solimar Emerald, as it exactly met my expectations. I can therefore recommend it. HOTEL & ENVIRONMENT It is a collection of small houses around the pool area, which I personally find much nicer than buildings where the rooms are lined up. The hotel is a small hotel on the outskirts of Rethymnon. Within walking distance are the beach (approx. 150 m), restaurants, bars, supermarket and car rental. One is not in the centre of town, but you can reach it easily by car and with a little patience by bus. A visit to what is, in my opinion, the most beautiful town in Crete is worthwhile in any case. I can't say anything about the day trips on offer, as I visited the island on my own. For this, the central location on the island was very good, every excursion and the island in general were great. PROGRAM There is an animation program in the hotel in the evenings. The musical evenings and the karaoke evening are worth a visit. Here you can connect well with other guests and the animator Zara always spread a good mood. RESTAURANT I always looked forward to the breakfast. The lunch and dinner were always very similar in structure, here there were changing dishes in addition to a constant offer. There was something for everyone, I enjoyed it. The snacks between meals were average but good for a quick bite. I did not like the self-service drinks at the buffet. They were unfortunately much too sweet. BAR/ SERVICE Better were the drinks at the bar. Here, as everywhere else in the hotel, you were always greeted in a friendly manner. Special thanks to the friendly bartender who chatted with us long after her shift, and to the young bartender with great party tips :) ROOM Our room for 3 people was on 2 floors and had two bathrooms. The cleanliness was very good. There was a refrigerator and an electric kettle. The furnishings were more rustic. Basically, the room was large enough, but the room layout was not quite optimal. We also had a sea view with a private balcony and rooftop terrace at no extra charge. I was bothered by the shower with its curtain and the single-ply toilet paper. Otherwise, I preferred to spend most of my time at the sea, the pool, the bar and the island anyway. ALL IN ALL... There are certainly points that still have room for improvement (it's not a 5-star hotel), but I think that in view of the good price-performance ratio, there is nothing to complain about. I had a good time here. Thank you for that.

Fantastic small intimate hotel with the best staff that you could possibly ask for. Nothing was too much for them to do. Maria greeted us with the friendliest smile. Food was excellent so we had no need to eat out for a change. Zara animation well!! Went out of his way to be so brilliant at his job. The restaurant staff were all amazing. Would definitely recommend them. Well done

Me and my friend stayed at Solimar Emerald 5 nights and only returned to London. We will miss the place and all the lovely staff memebers that made our stay great ☺️ We received a studio ( 2 Queen Size beds) with a huge terrace and amazing view over the pool and the sea. Very clean and sunsets were beautiful. The pool great for swimming and very clean. Great drinks at the bar and entertainement every night, however we stayed mostly out so cannot comment much on that but the other visitors looked like they enjoyed themselves. Giorgos and Manolis, the bartenders at the Pool Bar made us the best coffees in the morning and really looked after us all the time, thank you guys. We always had a good laugh with them. I like to mention that ever other member of the team was great also and always ready to help. P.S. We will miss Luna 🐶 and Soli🐱 also :)

We stayed in this hotel for 11 days, we found it on las**inute.com, and it was a really fair price for all the services included. The personnel is really nice and available for any request and solve any problems. The beach isn’t right in front of the hotel, but by just walking for 10 minutes you can find great beaches that you can rent for a very low price. The restaurant offers a great choice of foods, ranging from greek typical food to pasta. The pool is big and 1,70 meters deep, along with another smaller pool that is for kids. The wifi works in the whole hotel, rooms included and it is pretty fast. Rooms are good, we got the 203, which had 2 twin size beds and one queen size. The entertainment for kids especially is really professional and fun, but it’s not too invasive if you don’t care about that stuff. The position of this hotel is not the best, but there is a bus stop right in front of the structure, which takes you to Rethymno with a 1,20 euro bus ticket. (purchasable at the nearest mini markets). We had a great vacation and here and we thank all of the great people here! We went to Solimar Emerald for 5 days in May. Arriving at the hotel, we were very kindly welcomed; all employees appreciate the hospitality and family feeling. The rooms may be a bit dated by Dutch standards, but in a typical Greek style, which really makes you feel like you're in Greece. Hygiene is of paramount importance. The first evening was a bit cold, but this was also immediately helpful by immediately bringing a blanket to our room. The food is very varied, there is something for everyone and there is also something different on the menu every day. We love delicious wine when it comes to eating, the tap wine was not our favorite, but of course there was also a solution: an arrangement of different wines. In the evenings, we sat with the other hotel guests, this is something Zara facilitated: talking about what everyone had experienced that day and ending with Raki and music together. We really appreciate the efforts of Zara (the entertainer), he is always happy and positive and listens to the wishes of the guests: if you want bingo, we'll do bingo, if you want a disco, we'll do disco. All in all, highly recommended to go on vacation to this hotel!

Great hotel to stay at for a quiet get away. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. Our 3 boys had a lovely time, and fell in love with the resident cat, Soli, from day one. The staff were super lovely, welcoming and very informative. Zara, Ionanna, Dagmara, Maria, Marcos and the team were so lovely and definitely played a part in making this holiday great for us. The evening entertainment was great and made sure to include everybody that stayed at the resort. We had the all inclusive package: - food was great, and Nikos the chef was so great with letting us know about each dish. - our kids are quite picky eaters but there was something for everybody, every time which was amazing (you have to try the Oranges - they are so sweet) - house cocktails were great and there was a good variety. They even allowed my partner to make her own cocktails (she’s an ex barrista) which was really appreciated. Location wise, it’s great. An hour walk to Rethymno town/ 10 minute bus ride away (bus stop is across the road and is quite frequent). Loads of fun activities and restaurants on the ***** ( we recommend Taverne Poppy across the road) and there is a beach across the hotel (though the Rethymno beach was the best one we visited) Next time we will rent a car, as getting to some of the other cities (Chania and Heraklion) was difficult on public transport. Overall it was amazing and we will consider coming back here again!

We had a great time to Solimar Emerald. Was our first holiday with Mattia, our baby 10 months older, thank you for help us to have a super relaxing holiday!! Since our arrival everybody of the staff was great with us! Adriana she reserved for us a extralarge bedroom In the ground floor with a little bed for our little baby and a terrace outside for enjoy the night since the end. Superconfort! The room has some years but is very big, well equipped and well kept. The Receptionists Maria & Adriana were supernice for every need! Always welcoming us with a big smile and keep us update about the program of the week (without pressing us in any way) The restaurant is the top! Good food that was changing every day with a mix between Greek and international… was missing grilled fish! The girls at the restaurant were excellent! Every time that we came they was bringing the baby seat and our drinks instantly! Mattia felt in love with all of this amazing girls that took care of us (and cleaned all the messy of mattia 😅). Thank you to digMara for all fresh fruit she prepared and brought to mattia and for all smiles and help of Catarinha & Eleferinhas (freedom) In the while George and his colleague was taking care of Marco instead of fruit he was enjoying local beer and ouzo! Every morning we very appreciate to Flora and her colleague for clean and keep order in our room. Thank you for give with you smile the good morning to Mattia for all our permanency! The last but not the least…Georgia the maîtresse of the hotel! Very kind, always at disposition and super well informed! She gave to us a lot of infos about beach, she borrow us the mask for snorkeling she told us a lot of story about Crete!!I think I can keep writing and wrings about our stay… but until you don’t go for holiday in Solimar Emerald you can’t understand how is the feeling! With his +\- 20 rooms they create a enjoyable place where spend a lovely holiday! Thank you for the soft and fun animation of all nights close to the restaurant and the 2 swimming pools (the small one 0,70cm perfect for the baby and the big one 1,50mt) Only one thing… for reach the beach you have to cross the street… by the way in 2 Mins by feet you can reach the first beach. For the rest it was everything perfect! Thank you at all the staff!
