The view from the lounge and top restaurant are spectacular!! Loved going to the spa and then spending the rest of the day by the pool! Buffet offered a lot of choices for all nationalities with several other restaurants on site. First time ever using a hotel laundry service and was impressed with the service. Towards the back of the property there is a restaurant and area where artists with disabilities make their crafts. We found it very wonderful to meet the artists and see how they do their work. Livingston, a deaf glass artist, was very engaging and we bought several of his items. Service was excellent through out the hotel and we would highly recommend it.
The staff were all so friendly. The food was yummy. The grounds and the pool were immaculate. The dining area is like a tree house, open air in a lush tropical setting. We ordered chicken curry ahead of time, because the staff had to go get the fresh ingredients. Everything was fresh to order. The breakfast was huge and included vegetables, fresh fruit, fresh mango juice and a Spanish omelet. Delicious! We loved it here.
From the moment we arrived at Fun Retreat Resort, we were enveloped in warmth and hospitality. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and a refreshing welcome drink from second reception, setting the tone for our stay. Our executive rooms with a lovely garden view and really nature was nothing short of breathtaking... The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights after our days of adventure. Salt & Pepper restaurant & 360’ bar were highlights of our trip.. The service staff were attentive and knowledgeable, recommending local wines that paired beautifully with our meals. One of our favorite experiences was the daily yoga sessions by the beautiful Oasis garden. The gentle sound of birds and the soft green grass beneath our feet created a serene environment that helped us to make it. The resort also has a blessing of clear image of mount Meru and bit of Kilimanjaro which was truly magical. Overall, our stay at Fun Retreat Resort was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The staff's attention to detail, the stunning surroundings, and the incredible dining options made this trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to return. Me & my whole team recommend this place when one visit in Arusha.
Echt ongezien! Het personeel is een groot pluspunt.
We had an overnight stay here when my family had vacationed in Kenya / Tanzania in Aug / Sep 2024. We drove from Gnorongoro area to reach Arusha before lunchtime. Arusha is the main town where most of the travel agencies operate. On a good and clear day, mount Kilimanjaro is visible. The hotel is owned by the Serena chain of hotels owned by Aga Khan trust/family. It is a very nice hotel with good dining options. No buffet but the Ala Carte orders are good options. The rooms are like Masai huts and they have a nice veranda to sit out and enjoy the greenery within the property. The Victorian structure of the main block which houses Reception and Bar and Dining place is very well maintained. They garden is beautifully maintained. We enjoyed our stay here.
When I was there there was a slightly noisy water pump ( we were in a regular room and upgraded to luxury one where I did not have this problem) - should have brought my ear plugs. This issue may have been resolved but just in case, do remember to always travel with a good pair of earplugs! Just in case. The luxury rooms are most definitely worth it! If you can, try and snag yourself a deal on these rooms or simply pay the extra amount, especially if you are there for a short stay. For longer stays, the normal rooms are extremely good value for money. Lovely pool and location! Except the road leading to the venue is really rough. The service is outstanding though. Booking is a breeze, The quality of service and supervision is excellent. The evening meals are wonderful though you only get a buffet, which is really good value for money if you are a meat eater but not so much if you are a vegetarian. They nonetheless cater for vegeterians with spelendid selection every night. I'd definately go there again and higly recomend it.
Outstanding Experience Eunice and Caroline were incredibly friendly and attentive during our stay at Njiro Climax. The lodge was beautiful, with well-maintained rooms and a peaceful pool area. The food was delicious, and we appreciated the variety of dishes available. We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to return!
