Cleanliness: 5/5 no major issues noticed.
Location: 4/5 its abit far from the main parts of the city but with a ~20 Yuan Didi you can get to Xihuangcun Subway Station and go anywhere from there.
Amenities: 5/5 unlimited access to a Sauna, Salt Steam Sauna and 2 Hot spring pools (one hot and another warm) for a good price.
Service: 3/5 I think this area has the most room for improvement. Suggest adding Coffee to breakfast, adding labels (even at least Chinese ones that can be translated with phone) to breakfast items, adding a notice board that has all the rules for Onsen use and showing it to guests at Check-in. Some guests might not appreciate the yelling if they unknowingly do something wrong. Didn’t receive help with bags at check-in and lastly some staff can sometimes come across rude if they laugh together in Chinese after you interact with them. Mostly they are okay so I didn’t want to give less than 3, but with some adjustments in how they approach guests, this place can be taken to the next level.
The service was excellent, especially from the hotel manager(Xiao xiao), who was very helpful and responsive to our requests. As a new hotel, everything felt fresh and well-maintained.
That said, the daily housekeeping could be improved. For example, the floor mat was not changed throughout our one-week stay. The location is also quite far from most attractions, although it is conveniently close to the Summer Palace. It’s a good choice for those who prefer a quieter environment and don’t mind traveling to get around.
