The room had cob webs and a spider,table end was broken, the lamp was broken,hair in the bath and table, the family changing room for swimming was dead fly broken human nails so much dirty hair on the changing mat and the table it was sat on , going into the swimming pool the metal pillar holding the building was very very rusty and some of the staff from the hotel and the dining are was so rude We was told we would get another room the next day as we was staying for couple of days and we didn’t even get another room as we was promised and now there disputing about a refund I would never go back there again I was hoping it would be nice for my wife and kids as they had a pool etc

Ok place to stay would be really nice if staff was alittle polite

Great place to stay whilst working away

Food was good, hotel room was clean, leisure facilities were poor, jacuzzi bare worked, steam room didn’t work, swimming pool was full and the sauna was tiny!

Best shower. Lovely pool area. Breakfast buffet good selection and served hot.

This Hotel and its staff are amazing . From check in to check out , everything was perfect and the service was first class and exceeds your expectations. We had a lovely big room on the ground floor for 2 adults and our 2 children . Demi on Reception was so thorough and smiley and gave us excellent service . She spoke to us all in the lounge during our stay too , which was so lovely of her . Ellie and Freddie on the bar were great . Chatty and welcoming - and they made a fuss of our children which is what I really appreciate and like . We can’t wait to return to the pool and facilities too. Plenty of free parking and breakfasts and evening meal are superb . Thank you for everything Brighouse and we will be back again soon

Not a bad hotel but a little tired in places. Staff however are excellent & make it a worth while place to stay if on a budget or short notice.

Lovely clean friendly hotel. Excellent room and bathroom with a walk-in shower. Breakfast buffet was the best I can remember having with a great selection and quality produce.

When I got there the reception had a room for me but whenn they knew I was a single traveller the girl on the desk changed my room to a disability room where a disabled person and their carer would go. I was on my own , the bath was hideous and I needed a ladder to get onto the toilet.

Great staff lovely food, just bed wasnt so comfortable and fee stains up the walls of the bathroom. Apart from that great stay!

Friendly reception staff, great atmosphere in the hotel.. we needed a phone charger, this was provided without hesitation.. Facilities excellent. Lovely breakfast with an incredible choice of foods to suit all tastes. Would definitely recommend and return. F

I have stayed in this hotel several times but this time it seemed to have lost its edge. The lounge area was dirty with dust on the decorative shelves, and it all seemed shabby. My room (219) was ok, but nothing special. For the money i paid i would have expected a safe and a small refrigerator. There were two double beds and we used only one, but could not get comfortable as it had a double sized duvet and the most enormous ill fitting duvet cover i have ever seen. Consequently, everything felt loose and uncomfortable. My final moan is about the bathroom. The sink plug did not work and the sink did not hold water. Why had this not been reported by one of the cleaners? And finally, when are hotels going to put a safety grab handle on the wall above the bath. How do they expect elderly people who want to shower, to step into the bath safely without something to hold onto ? It defies belief, and where do you hang your towels after you have washed and dried yourself, there are no hooks anywhere ! Not good for a hotel that classifies itself as 4 star !
