ブロークン ヒル ツーリスト ロッジ(Broken Hill Tourist Lodge)

Stayed in Unit 1 which was located at the end of the hall which was good. Pretty quiet. Staff very friendly and easy to get into the place and out. Great communication. 2 bedroom unit with a window each, queen size beds. One bedroom had an aircon unit, bed side table and lamp which was great. Living area and TV was excellent. Updated kitchen superb with stove top. Air con unit in living area is noisy (sounds like a truck) but you just turn it off when you go to bed and all good. The first morning the alarm in the building went off around 6am which was VERY loud. Someone's smoke detector went off. My mum went out to get someone. Took about 10mins for the alarm to go off. Thankfully we had to get up early anyway haha Bathroom updated with washing machine & dryer. Shower nice but would be nice to have some kind of shower curtain. Overall we just have to be thankful we have showers, air con/heater, nice bed and a roof over our heads! A lovely motel :)

I stayed in an ensuite room. It had been fairly recently renovated. The central location is very convenient. Easy late self check-in. Overall this was fantastic value for money I didn't use the communal facilities but at a glance they appeared good

Great place to stay, loved the pool, very relaxing and quiet, and the kitchen was good, easy to cook in.

I liked the quiet, the ensuite and security. It was all I wanted for a one night stopover.

There was no one at the lodge, had to wait over half hour for someone to ring me back with a pin so I could enter. The room I got was nothing like in the photos.

Thankyou, We had a lovely stay ta The Outback Tourist Lodge. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfy beds and clean amenities. Great kitchen space; easy to meet and chat with other travellers. Close to shops and other places of interest including railway station and bus depot.

I stayed with my bub at Broken Hill Tourist Lodge. They were amazing and friendly. The rooms were clean and everything I needed was there. If I needed anything they couldn't help me enough. I'll be definitely staying again. Plus I friend I met while they will be too, next year hear we come.

Positives: This place is immaculately clean, has a lovely manager, is dated but this is reflected in the price. 5 stars. Negatives: Unfortunately has a mix of permanents as well as travelers. The YHA many years ago had a policy that you couldn't stay more than 3 nights. This prevented the permanents "owning" the place. This place does have a resident Food Thief. My food went missing from the fridge while other (non-named or dated) food was untouched. I, now make ice blocks in their freezer and store my food in the esky in the car. Unfortunately this will be more prevalent in budget accommodation with cash-strapped permanents. 0 stars I will be generous and give this establishment an average rating; This should be higher.
