Bed was very comfortable as expected. Also, as usual for Premier Inn, it was very quiet. The heating in the 2 rooms did not work and were rather cool for February Automated check in was challenging and very timeconsuming (the customer deserves something better and a warm welcome not directed to a check in booth) Food was disappointing – freezer to microwave and quite tasteless and overdone in some cases. Sausages ran out by 9am for breakfast Plenty of parking, pleasant social space on ground floor Staff very friendly

The Premier inn, is comfortable and clean. There is a bar and restaurant. The staff were all friendly, helpful and informative. That said there were a couple of annoying things. We only had one set of towels in our room, I asked at reception, and she said they would send some up, they never came. The poached eggs at breakfast were very underdone, I thought this might have been a one off, so ordered them the next day, they were underdone also. The windows in the rooms are locked. I suppose this is to stop smoking/vaping in the rooms. However, a sticker on the windows state they have very sensitive smoke detectors. The windows in the corridors are open however, they have a little connection that only allows the window to open a certain amount. Why not have those in the bedrooms? I am a light sleeper, and like fresh air otherwise I find it stuffy. The sticker on the window also says that the air con keeps the air moving, ( or words to that affect). Aircon is not fresh air and is noisy for a light sleeper. So little sleep was had unfortunately.stuffy

Brilliantly refurbished Premier Inn. Easy self check in. Lovely bar. Fabulous staff. We had a Luxe room on the top floor which was lovely. Great bathroom and spacious room. Needed an Uber taxi. Both arrived within 5/6 minutes. Breakfast was very busy the next morning. Great value at £10.99 and really good quality.

Perfectly clean room, bed was really really comfortable, shower was hot and the bathroom spotless. Missed the basic instructions which would have helped - 1. instructions to put the door key card into the slot by the door to work the electricity; 2. how to work the flipping air-con (OFF apparently does not mean off!); 3. breakfast times. Plus there was a lot of hype about lone travellers not being placed on the ground floor to avoid them feeling vulnerable - my room was right at the end of a long corridor on the ground floor alongside the car park. Lack of staff to speak to was rubbish too and when I rang (as per the TV instructions) the reception number nobody answered. I could not ask my questions, I could not mention my VERY MINOR worries because there was no-one around apart from bar staff.

Really lovely Hotel! Don’t be put off by the outside as it’s beautiful and clean inside. Staff really friendly and welcoming, easy check in. Loads of parking. Room was perfect and well equipped, clean fresh bedding and towels. The pillows are so comfortable, so lovely I ordered some online! Bed comfortable, had the best night sleep! This hotel is better than the Celtic Manor and The Mecure , definitely recommend. I’ve only given 4 stars as I felt the cooked breakfast could have been hotter, was a bit lukewarm. But plenty of choices and lovely coffee. ( the heat of breakfast was my only slight negative ) We will be back when visiting family in Cardiff.
