Good location. Clean. Convenient. Good value for money at this stay

First time visit , excellent hotel , great helpful staff , very good breakfast every morning. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Lovely pool and pool bar. Would recommend. The restaurant on site was also excellent . It is worth noting that taxi service is difficult and expensive do to the area - taxi service is dispatched from Siena .

I stayed one night at Villa Curina Resort, together with a group of friends, 10 people. I chose this place with great confidence and with high expectations, having some prior recommendations. From the moment we arrived, the staff who welcomed us had an inappropriate attitude. We asked them to serve us a glass of water, as it was very hot outside, and we were told that we have water in the rooms, for a fee. The place as a whole is very beautiful, well maintained, with a great view. The rooms are nicely decorated but not up to our expectations. The big disappointment was the dinner, where our expectations were really high. But the rule of the house is to order at least 2 dishes for each person. I very politely asked the restaurant staff if it is possible to make an exception to this rule, but I received an answer from the head of the restaurant (because the restaurant staff did not understand our request very well). We encountered a categorical refusal from the restaurant manager, a couple from the group explained to him that they did not want to eat 4 courses at dinner, and that if possible they would share only 2 courses. The refusal came even more aggressively, that they can go to the room if they don't order 2 dishes each. With wine an even more interesting story, he recommended us to take a 1.5 liter wine, and when we asked if we didn't like his recommendation, we could refuse this wine and try something else, he told us that we had to pay it. The conclusion was to get up from the table and go to the nearest town to have dinner at another restaurant, a decision that was very appropriate.

The pool attendants were attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing day by the large, inviting pool. The breakfast staff also contributed to the positive experience with their friendly demeanor and the excellent spread they provided each morning. While the breakfast is generally enjoyable, it's worth noting that a second coffee at breakfast is charged separately. Although I understand the reasoning—there is a complimentary coffee pot available to avoid overindulgence—it still felt a bit stingy for a 4-star hotel, where such small luxuries are usually included. The on-site restaurant offers delicious food, and while there is a policy requiring a minimum of two dishes per person, it didn't significantly detract from the overall dining experience, which was otherwise enjoyable. It’s also worth mentioning that Curina Resort is not the place for those seeking modern amenities or sleek, contemporary design. Its charm lies in its traditional style and historic atmosphere, making it ideal for those who appreciate an old-world feel. Overall, Curina Resort is a delightful choice for those seeking a tranquil escape with a touch of old-world charm, supported by a team of genuinely caring staff. The stunning views and serene environment make it a perfect Tuscan retreat.

I had an extremely disappointing experience, the worst I've encountered in over 30 years. The staff were unfriendly and aggressive, demonstrating a lack of fundamental skills necessary for this type of service. It truly comes down to attitude. There was no acknowledgment, such as a simple goodbye or thank you. If the goal of this business is to make guests feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and dissatisfied, then they have certainly achieved that objective.

The food business model is very aggresive. We were a group of 10 people and made a reservation to eat there as well. They expect you to eat at least 2 dishes per person (dessert is not included), otherwise you are not getting any food. Since not all of us were that hungry or some of us wanted to share, we decided to go to another place, in the city, which is 5 km away. A good place is hard to find since everybody is eating at that time. In the morning, if you want a second hot drink at your breakfast, such as cappuccino, you have to pay for it which is absurd for the ton of money you pay for accomodation.The disconfort for all of us was very big. We expected a lot more typical italian hospitality and less sales management.
