Was looking forward to enjoying a day at the Joule, as a Dallas local but having never visited before. I had 4 hours of spa treatments booked and was looking forward to arriving early to use the pool and have lunch. Upon arrival, I asked the front desk how to get to the pool. They looked at me shocked I would even ask and said the pool was for hotel guests only. Now mind you, this was a Tuesday morning. Had it been a packed Saturday, I understand that priority would go to hotel guests. But given I was spending MORE at the spa than their room rates, I was shocked they refused to let me upstairs, even to have lunch and drinks! I visit hotel spas all the time and have never been turned away from using the facilities. Word of advice to Joule management—you often only get one shot to make a lifelong customer. I would have likely made this my spa of choice going forward and tried the restaurants and maybe even done a few staycations. It costs nothing to make an impression and let a high paying spa customer use the pool on a day when the hotel is empty (which is was btw—not a soul in the lobby or either of the lobby restaurants at lunch time).
ゲゲストThe hotel is so quaint and sweet, the decor transports you into another era, beautifully decorated and unique. The rooms are small but darling, however we were put in a room right next to the entry stairs door and early in the morning people just kept slamming it so we didn’t really rest well. The service was just okay front desk didn’t give us any info and we had to walk around ourselves to get to amenities. The location is very odd it’s right in the middle of a neighborhood with homes right next door and an elementary school is right across the streets. They have parking in the back but it’s a tight squeeze it’s mainly for compact cars and street parking is a mess you are sharing with the neighborhood.
This hotel was really cute, had such a great vibe. The front desk guy Jacob was so friendly and really made me feel welcomed, he had a big smile on his face explained parking and how the key works, even told me if I wanted to hold my luggage there with him in the morning that they would be happy to do it so the kids could swim, he also explained to me that the kitchen was open until 10:00 p.m. and we could either order downstairs or even on the rooftop. The rooftop was chill, nice music very laid back, we ended up ordering our food downstairs the bartender was great answered all my questions and very patient. The food was okay I ordered a burger just didn't have very much flavor to it needed a little more seasoning on the burger itself, salad was good and sweet potatos fries were decent. The room itself was super cute lots of space for the kids, love that they had a noise machine because I forgot to bring my fan. The pull out sofa was clean, The only thing I can really complain about was the sink it just did not drain well but overall was a wonderful stay I would definitely recommend.
We’ve stayed a couple of times here and even though the location isn’t the most appealing, the customer service we received made the stay better. So special shout out to AVI at the front desk for always accommodating our needs for our stays! And the timing manner which it’s done! Great breakfast options as well! Comfy beds. You’ll see!
