Goldcity Hotel

We were at the Gold City Hotel from April 24 to May 1, 2024. It was our 8th stay on Turkey on 5*hotels. We rate Gold City very well. The hotel is located on a beautiful hill with an amazing view during the day and at night. The rooms were cery clean. The food was delicious. In our opinion, there was only not enough seafood, but maybe that was cause it was the beginning of the season. Alcohol was ok, you could easily choose something good. The distance to the beach is quite large but the bus runs every hour. The beach is nice, although we have seen better. There are small stones on it. If you're going to the beach at night, take a blanket, it will be more comfortable :) The hotel Staff was very nice. A great team of animators, especially Hayri and Alper. They organize a party trip to Alanya (Illusion). We recommend.

Pros... there are too many to mention but i will try. Stunning scenery. Lovely food lots of choice. Gorgeous rooms cleaned every day. Fantastic pools very clean and plenty of beds. A la carte was a lovely treat great food and service. Lots of drink choices tho a bit too strong but went down well. Not many staff speak great english but there again we were not in England we were in Turkey . Great shuttle service to the gorgeous beach which you get all inclusive food and drink. Staff helpful and friendly. Now the cons. A long transfer but we did know beforehand. The shuttle to b block should be more often and no food in b block pool area that was the only downside. Would definatly return.

This is our 1st time over this way in Turkey, usually we stay in side or lara beach. This is a 2 hour transfer, which was OK as it was a private transfer. Got here at 2100 on Sunday night for 10 nights, and we leave on Wednesday, the 24th. The room for 3 is really big with a balcony looking out at sea and the pool. This is a smaller hotel from what we are used to, and you can tell the difference. The food is good, to be fair. The snack bar is good also. Don't go by the website as there is no Irish bar or burger place. Staff at the pool bar and coffee desk are really friendly. All staff are to be fair. Also, on the website, it shows a football pitch and running track. I'm looking forward to this, but you have to get a ride there. I still haven't used it. Not to happy about that. The pool entertainment team is OK, not as good as previous hotels. Amphitheatre only opened up last night, so they had been using a conference room which isn't as good. Water park is OK. If you wanna be close to the town and beach I would suggest a different hotel. The hotel is up a mountain which is OK if you don't wanna go anywhere. They do offer shuttle buses to alanya and the beach at a cost. Still a decent hotel and good staff. Could be better but 10 days is plenty here.

I feel this hotels pictures are false a lot of it isn’t open to use, especially when you go with a big family the pictures are what attracted us to this. You miss out on night life if you enjoy that as a holiday as you’re restricted with the buses that run from the hotel down into the little town and then onto the city. Air conditioning unit was leaking on our first night took them two nights to sort this not great when we had our two year old with us and I was pregnant. You have to pay for the games/bowling in the entertaining part which I feel isn’t right when half of the things aren’t open there and if your all inclusive! Booked holiday through onthebeach and for sure these pictures are fake as there is no crazy golf etc! They have a map outside the hotel showing you all that is on their grounds well that’s fake too! Pretty much all of the staff are so rude, no one will happily help you got eyes rolled at us walked in front of many times or I don’t know reply’s . The food choice is very much catered for particular cultures so not great for us as a family and really hard for choices for kids. Lighting on the floors to your bedroom is really dark in the evenings-scary and dangerous. Not much choice of evening entertainment for the family. You get a towel card and get them from the spa and take them back daily as if you don’t they don’t have enough for the next day! Should be situated up by the pool not down where it’s suppose to be a relaxing part-the spa! Kids park is so unsafe don’t think maintenance has been reviewed in a long time! Ice-creams only open for an hour a day not long enough when you have kids and you’re on holiday in an all inclusive! Be mindful to check for bugs going around in Turkey before you go as my little one got very poorly when we were out there! Also heard lots of other people did too! Won’t be returning to this hotel!!

Full review - 9 days in Room - We was given three bedroom suite. It is huge living room/kitchen three bedrooms all with own air conditioner and three bathrooms. Two walk in showers and one shower with whirlpool bath. Cleaners came every day and left water. The cleaners where amazing with our three children Main buffet restaurant - Always managed to find a table for 5 even at busy peak times. Food was varied and really nice. Managed to find something every time we ate there for two small children. Aqua park snack bar - Little gem here normally very quiet and has a small very child friendly menu. Open from 12:30 even though the aqua park is shut for lunch. Staff in here super friendly and looked after us very well. Pool snack bar - Slightly bigger menu here. Pizzas are superb. Uphill lounge (paid for) Fantastic food, service and views. They do have a separate kids menu that we couldn’t find outside. Swimming pool - we always managed to find a couple of loungers no matter what time we went. The pools are very clean and warm even at this time of year. The lifeguard by the baby pool is superb. We didn’t see any entertainment as most days we was at the aqua park or out and about. Aqua park - BRILLIANT!!! We went most days at 12 when it was turned off as it is quiet (normally just us) so our kids could play in the children’s bit. Slides no big ques.. single rafts not a problem to get. When it got busy the lifeguard stopped repeat riding on the double rafts what I thought was very fair as every one got a go. Beach - only used it the once. Kids preferred the water park. We did use the bus to get to the beach then walk to the Migros( supermarket) and get snacks. Taxi back up was 155tl metered. Entertainment - was really good every night. The lad on the bar at the amphitheatre is so friendly and great at his job. Hotel guest relations - now this is the best part. No issues contacting Eda Emir Zelluhoğlu. She is very very good at her job. We had one very slight problem. It was dealt with straight away. We have had a brilliant holiday and plan to return again next October!!

I seen some very negative reviews and was hesitant. However we got there to get the most stunning room... or should I say House. Was 3 bedrooms, 3 bath and gorgeous. Hotel was clean. Lots to do. Food was lovely and the snack bar to order.was brilliant. Cocktails were great, staff cleaned throughout. Only negative was distance from hotel but it was worth it. I would go back.

Been here 3 times now, hotel is great, staff are great, rooms are cleaned every day, entertainment shows in the evening don’t seem as good or as long, food is very similar each night but most of our family liked it, boys just get something at the snack bar just before for it shuts as an early tea as it has a good choice, probably the biggest disappoin**ent was the Irish bar is now closed which always had the sports on, so now we are having to pay £15 to get a taxi each way to alanya to watch a game or formula1, Obviously a lot of people won’t have an issue not watching sport! For someone coming for the first time just be aware the flight/transfer is long so prepare for it! Also be careful with omelettes as they use a lot of oil just for one, we just asked them to use less, Other than that would come back, had a great 12 days with 10 people.

It had to be the best hotel I’ve stayed in in turkey…. Bit of a pain to get to (if u don’t like heights then it’s not for u) but once ur there it’s lovely….the rooms r clean and the food is great… I honestly don’t have any fault with the hotel.. will definitely be staying there again next year…

Goldcity Everything was amazing, after we discovered a slight shortcut to our room which was quite a distance away from hotel, it was actually a nice walk in the morning and evening , food was incredible , relax pool was great and they even enforced kicking people of under 16 out of the area which is nice if your trying to read a book. The ONLY and I mean ONLY downside to the whole experience was when I wanted to look at prices for the spa and after pushy sales tactics of filling in a reservation ticket ( I also did not consult my fiancé about this ) we had a slot pencilled in. After telling my fiancé who said it was quite expensive and due to the warmth didn’t really fancy a spa I said no worries I will go in the morning and cancel it. When I went to cancel it a cancellation charge of €33 euros ( 1 person for a spa was €55 ) was explained to me. This was told to me not in the pushy pitch done by the pool side but at the time I wished to cancel it. For a bit of feedback I would perhaps let people know about that charge before hand. Also when I went down a woman behind the counter rolled her eyes like this was common - so you can do one of 2 things, either let people know that there is a cancellation fee before pencilling them in, or continue to make quick cash with cancellation fees whilst rolling your eyes 🤷🏼‍♂️ also electricity went out around 5 o’clock and didn’t come back on until 10 , we were out for most of the night but when we came back we assumed it would be sorted but we were sat in darkness for an hour , we did call as soon as it went out. Overall amazing hotel and very much enjoyed and would return
