This is a hidden gem at the end of Gulfview Blvd. We haven’t visited the Gulf beaches of FL for a number of years and decided to celebrate my retirement from 33 years as a classroom teacher and to spend our 25th Anniversary here for the week. This propert is walking distance to a market, beach shops , a liquor store and many restaurant options. The small private beach has white powdery sand and beautiful views. You can easily go from beach to the pool. The beach attendants, Mark and Al, couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful when renting our chairs daily. Al would check in to see if we needed drinks and brought us water from the bar. The Cabana Grill had great drinks and provided bar service on beach and by the pool. Greg at the front desk was so very helpful and the manager spoke to us frequently throughout our stay like she knew us and that we were regulars. Our housekeeper Sandra was so friendly and provided great service as well. As Diamond members, we can say without a doubt that this was one of our best stays at a Hampton Inn. We will certainly return!!!
I recently stayed at the Hilton Hiatus for a weekend getaway, and while there were some positive aspects, I felt compelled to share a few important warnings for potential guests. Construction Noise First and foremost, be aware that there is significant construction happening at the hotel. Starting at 6 AM each morning, the noise can be quite disruptive. If you’re someone who enjoys sleeping in or needs a quiet environment to relax, this may not be the best choice for you. It’s a shame, as the hotel has a lot of potential, but the early morning construction work really detracted from our overall experience. Fire Alarm Incident To add to our discomfort, on our first night, the fire alarm went off at 2 AM. Understandably, this can happen from time to time, but what was concerning was the lack of response from the front desk. The next morning we asked the front desk for more information, but we received no acknowledgment of the incident. This left us feeling quite unsettled during an already stressful situation. While the Hilton has some appealing features—such as its location to the beach and amenities—I would recommend considering these factors before booking your stay. If you value peace and quiet during your stay, it might be wise to look elsewhere until the construction is complete.
Really enjoyed our stay here recently. The housekeeping service in particular was outstanding. Also impressed with the friendliness of any employee with whom we crossed paths Room was comfortable and you can’t beat the location. Easy walking distance to shops and nearby restaurants, if you want to venture out for dining. Between the pool and the beach, it really has all you need for a few days of relaxation. Only negative during our stay was that the workout room was closed. I can imagine it gets pretty crowded during peak season, but on off times, it is a great choice. I would definitely return.
