ブリタニア グランド ホテル スカーバラ(The Grand Scarborough)

Booked and pre paid for two family rooms and after waiting the 2 hrs to check in I was told that the family rooms were under maintenance then gave me alternative rooms then didn’t realise I paid as they tried to charge me £366 even tho trip.com charged £540 so would like to know why I am so out of pocket and hope someone at trip is reading this as I never really got what I paid for. It’s like ordering a pair of Nike shoes and receiving rebok. Don’t you dare say you take a cut as I know full well my rooms were sold again and why do I know that? 1. I called 2 days prior and was told my room numbers 2. Receptionist said they were under maintenance when I arrived 3. I checked the rooms myself and they were occupied by guests. I want some kinda refund and the truth for once as I never got any from the management

Really enjoyed the stay, absolutely loved the hotel, will definitely be coming back, brilliant prices.

Poor room ever! we get there a bit early so we can't check-in at the moment so we asked to leave our suitcases there for a few hours but the staff said no because we are not in a tourist group. the light it seems broken after we turn-off (we slept with this green light as the picture all night) this floor is -3, bad air, the room has a musty smell. ghosts are around. and the most thing i can't accept it' s the bathroom they did't clean it i saw poo in the toilet i wanted to throwup, very disgusting! sorry for the bad review but I'm telling the truth.

Another decent room at the Grand. Partial sea view, decent size room. New carpet and freshly painted. Staff are helpful and do what they can to help you

poor wifi(you have to pay fro premium wifi and can only have access to free wifi in the lobby) plenty of space in the lobby and bar and restaurant but no extra room for luggage that's utterly ridiculous limited vision for seaview and the window is dirty feel like I’m living in a tower

Helpful friendly staff. Asked for extra pillows which were taken to our room straight away. Absolutely beautiful building could do with some TLC however this is reflected in the price. Had breakfast which was worth every penny. Did not have evening meal. Entertainment was above average.

Good place to stay. This hotel is really near the ocean, you can see sunrise at hotel or on the beach. Definitely will book if I come to Scarborough again.

This hotel gets a lot of bad press and some of it is a little tired the evening meal was a bit lacking but not awful breakfast couldn't be faulted it was great value for money the building is amazing and l would go again
