Located just a 3 minute walk from the Leiden Central Train Station, Golden Tulip Leiden Centre Hotel is the best choice for staying in a very clean and relaxed environment with very polite and helpful personnel at the reception desk. Definitely, I will stay again there next time I visit Leiden and I will recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

This hotel is excellent - location, quality, food and service - everything was perfect - nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. We upgraded to an executive room which was wonderful a special rate for 3 nights including breakfast which was plentiful excellent value for money

Excellent hotel close to train station. We had no issue with noise at night and rooms were spacious, with seperate toilet. Breakfast was excellent with full range of hot and cold . Stay were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend

The rooms for the standard room was too small, or at least the room 131 that I stayed in. Barely room to move around from work desk to the window! Other facilities and amenities were OK, including meeting rooms, coffee point and ambient warmers. Close to the Leiden Centraal station making it very accessible.

Extremely well placed for eitheir going to the town center or central station for trains anywhere in holland.

Found dirt all over the back of the TV. I think the cleaning team have not inspected there for months went to reception and showed them the pictures Reception guys are great and friendly they apologised and quickly informed the cleaning team to put it right

Well situated hotel close to train station and city centre. Hotel rooms were very good, clean and well equipped. Cleaned daily. Bar and restaurant areas are nice and reasonably priced for city hotel. They have access to a gym close by and they will accommodate specific requests like extra pillows etc.

I travel to Alphen aan den Rijn for business from Chicago relatively frequently, but invariably stay at the Golden Tulip in Leiden for a simple reason: It's a great hotel at an outstanding price. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. For example, during my most recent stay, the front desk called to make a restaurant reservation for us when we were unable to get cell service. In addition, I inadvertently left behind a travel pillow - an e-mail was waiting for me when I landed back home informing me of the left item and asking if they could arrange a return. The attached restaurant - Ruben's - is amazing. Dinners are delicious, with a regularly changing menu and very reasonably priced for top notch quality, with a sterling wine list. Be sure to add breakfast to your stay - as it is likewise quite outstanding; delicious and filling, a widely varied spread... I wish I could take a quart or two of the yogurt home with me, but also filled with pastries, eggs, sausages, bacon, etc. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with an excellent roomkeeping staff. I travel a fair amount for business - and the Golden Tulip is perhaps my favorite regular hotel (at half the price of most lodging!). Just a few minute walk to the Leiden Centraal train station - I think it is my favorite regular hotel not just in the Netherlands, but globally. I really cannot recommend the Golden Tulip highly enough - whether for business or pleasure, the quality of every element of the property matches any I've stayed at - and again, at a price that is usually half of what one would pay for similar lodging.

Everything was ok, the suites could have some more extra for the value but it was spacious and convenient. The location was very central to Leiden and an easy walk to everywhere.

From start arriving to departing we felt that we were valued guests. This hotel is all about the people - excellent on reception, brilliant in the bar and restaurant and outstanding in housekeeping. Everyone had a smile and a greeting for us throughout our 4 day stay. A few small things would improve this hotel - a more uptodate HD TV, a better selection of fruit with the yoghurt at breakfast and possibly a toaster. But these are minor points in an othermost enjoyable stay.

A perfect stay, excellent food and standards. Staff was the best part. We hope to be back someday :)
