It took me awhile to settle on the Monopol for my overnight in Frankfurt; because of other reviews regarding the area. The Monopol was a reasonable choice. Travelling solo, the single room was on the small side but I had plenty of room for my luggage and was able to have enough floor space to do some yoga. The room and linens were clean. I particularly enjoyed the free mini bar with a couple of bottles of water for me to drink. The hotel also has refreshments for guests from 11 to 6. It was great again to be able to fill my water bottle and not have to buy overpriced water at restaurants or the train station. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The only complainant I have was the bed mattress was pretty rock solid and could have been more cushy. The hotel is not far from the river embankment with a strolling path to the old town. I did not find the area to be overly worrisome. Yes there is some riff raft but at no time did I feel unsafe strolling g in the neighbourhood. I would chose this hotel again but I would ask for a softer bed.
A hotel whose name refers to the Orient promises a certain degree of exoticism. And that's what guests get - but in the most unpleasant way imaginable. It starts with the fact that the address in Baseler Str. is not correct at all; one has to go around the block and, after a walk through an aesthetically expandable area with lively ”street people” of the dubious kind, arrives in Karlsruher Strasse, where the hotel is actually located. We arrived around 8 p.m. and were greeted with the information that we had not left any credit card details when booking, which is - since 6 p.m. had passed – why we had no claim to the hotel room. As a gesture of ”goodwill”, we would nevertheless be provided with a place to stay. I immediately looked through the travel documents and found, clearly marked, the confirmation of what I knew anyway: ”Credit card deposited as a guarantee”. That irritated the hotel employee little, who seemed a little bit batty anyway. Our room was in a rather gloomy dungeon, the door of which could hardly be opened and which was extremely crooked and blessed with a single window, that was located in the farthest corner. It did not lead out to the outside world, as one might naively assume, but into an intermediate space that was the passage to the fire escape – and which, as we noticed at night, was used by other guests for their cigarette breaks. Even if the window - which was thus not the case - had offered fresh air (but it didn’t), it would have been impossible to think of opening it without worrying about one's belongings, to which any nocturnal smoker would have had effortless access. In the bathroom, on the sideboard with the sink, were (at least) three small animals, perhaps cockroaches or woodlice, happily going about their daily routine. They allowed themselves to be photographed without resistance. At least, the promised and co-paid flat screen TV was present; what was unfortunately missing was a signal. Same for the WiFi. So we called the reception desk, which was supposed to be manned around the clock – and where no one picked up. The other day at the reception a staff member explained that the TV would ”of course” be repaired during the day - we were even lucky, she said, because the janitor was just on site. When we returned in the evening, another gentleman at the reception explained straightforwardly that the TV had not been repaired and would not be repaired. For compensation he offered us a ”free drink”, i.e. a bottle with 0.5 liters of water, which he would have otherwise sold for 2€. We returned - without water bottle, but with new impressions - back to the room to find an unmade bed and the used coffee cups from the morning, which no one, not even the cockroaches had taken care of. It might also be worth mentioning that the elevator only goes to intermediate floors. Among the hotels of the lowest category, which I have unfortunately already survived, this house is certainly well in the race for the rank of the s
This was not the first stay at the Hilton in Frankfurt; we stayed back in 2013 for the Christmas Markets and decided to stay again in 2022. The hotel is an ideal location and only a short ten-minute walk to the markets in Frankfurt during Christmas. We opted for a King Executive Room with Executive Lounge access. A small selection of beers, wines and spirits was available in the evening in the lounge, with light snacks if you wanted something to eat. The lounge is not self-service like our previous visit, but the staff were excellent, and we didn't have to wait long to get drinks. Check-in was quick, but once again, no upgrade was offered as a Hilton Honours Gold Member, but breakfast was complimentary due to Gold status. The room was clean and comfortable, not exceptionally spacious, but we didn't spend much time in the room apart from sleeping. Another enjoyable stay, and we would recommend the hotel for a stay, particularly at Christmas.
Even though it’s a chain it gives you the feeling that it’s not. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We accidentally booked for the wrong night, but luckily they had an extra room and the helped us transfer our booking into the right night. The staff spoke perfect English and was just really everything your wanted as a tourist giving good advice on how to enter the city. The room is equipped with a big bed and a big tv, and the bathroom is a good size too, so even though the rooms aren’t so big they really focused on using the space correctly. We had a room facing into the yard so no noise there, but it’s very convivially places next to the highway, so you’re quick on your way again, but of course it means some rooms are facing out to the trafficked highway also. What’s even better is that they had a cromecast connected to the tv, which as a tourist is so absolutely genius so we don’t have to watch dubbed German television. (Small disclaimer is that the Wi-Fi was a little slow until the evening making it a little hard to work) The breakfast is super variated and big, and they fill up the missing things quickly, and take our plates when we are done so they don’t pile on the table. The parking cellar cost a little but there’s parking space outside the hotel too. The tramp is located just next to the hotel and takes you into the city directly. You can even buy a ticket just next to it for about 2 euroes. I don’t have a single complaint about this place, and usually I’m very picky. It’s new, hip, clean, modern… from the nice, free and clean toilets in the parking cellar to the music being played in the reception, and the opportunity to self-check in. Will defiantly recommend and will defiantly return if in Frankfurt again.

Very clean hotel - The great staff , especially Abdullah Kwaidi and Justin, they are very helpful - the room has a coffee machine and air conditioning and amenities - car Parking under the hotel - lobby sessions and outdoor sessions - there are most services near the hotel
9924653123The hotel is still pretty new, located just behind the Frankfurt fair. We booked premium room, upon check in they recognise my Gha discovery status which is a plus. We booked king room but got twin room instead. The front office guy first informed us that there was no more room available. But an Asian front office guy who has seem more experience could manage to get us another room. He also solved the problem with our reservation, as eventhough we booked 1 room and received only 1 confirmation as it appears in the GHA app, it appears 2 reservation in their system. The room is clean, the rustic factory design room interior is probably not my taste but not an issue. What bothers me was the AC didn’t work properly. The room has a large window, even as the AC was set on high, it was still warmer than the corridor outside the room. Breakfast was good, we also went to the outdoor bar, which was very cozy and has a good non alcoholic gin menu.
