The Lince Nordeste

This was the third time visiting the Azores and this hotel has made our stay even more special. The room was large, with comfortable bed and a balcony with the most beautiful sea view overlooking the town. Waking up every morning with this view was so relaxing. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. From the starters to the mains and deserts, we were delighted every single day. We specifically recommend the shrimp and the picado as starters, naco as main and delícia do nordeste as a dessert. We also used the spa which was very easy to book. The indoor swimming pool was beautiful with copper tiles, the water was warm and the sauna was easy to set up. The gardens are nicely maintained. We also celebrated New Year’s Eve party at the hotel. The dinner was excellent and the team had party items for the guests to use which was a nice surprise. The village fireworks were launched right from the road in front so we had the best view from our balcony! As the hotel is also so close to the village, we walked out to see the New Year concert and eat the largest cake which was free! The staff are so thoughtful and kind. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We were very pleased with the esthetic of the hotel and the lovely and helpful staff members. The breakfast was quite generous and a great start to each day! It was a short walk into town. Thank you for a lovely stay!

+ The hotel is placed at an amazing location with a beautiful view of the town and sea. The staff are polite and helpfull and there is a good breakfast included. - as a couple the bed was not good, its two single beds with a matress on top, but the matress is not thick enough so sleeping close to my partner i felt the middle crack between the beds all night which is very uncomfortable, note i am not a heavy person 70kg and still felt it. The beds also started moving apart abit as there was no clamps holding the beds together. The food in the resturant was abit of an disserpoin**ent, i got the 25euro steak which in itself was a good piece of meat. but as i ate it i barely tasted anything but the garlic they used so way too much and ruined a good steak, it came with potato chips which were just potato chips which were pretty boring and wet from garlic/steak juices My girlfriend had the Tuna steak which also had garlic all over it overpowering the taste of the tuna which is a disserpoin**ent as the fish taste should be the main focus in the dish not garlic.

Nice and quiet place to stay, with a beautiful pool and nice spa facilities. Bed was a bit hard for my liking, but other than that a great place to stay!

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. A gem in Nordeste and definitely worth a visit. Breakfast was good, swimming pool and sauna were a treat, and dinner at the hotel was great. A quiet, quaint town and we loved that. Close to beautiful views and awesome hiking trails. Convenient location to walk around town. Overall a 5 out of 5!

My fiance and I have just spent five magical days in this beautiful hotel. Everything was just perfect from the restaurant to spa experience. Thank you to Maria and all the wonderful staff for making our engagment so special. We will never forget it ❤️

The owners of this Hotel understand what a Hotel should be.Excellent beds , spotlesly clean rooms, bar, restaurant public area's etc. Friendly kind attentive staff . Room 202 was super. Good Breakfast and bar food . Thankyou.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this hotel. It was so perfect. The room was beautiful and clean. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The spa service was over the top. Thank you Alexandria! The view from our room was breathtaking.

We originally booked one night at this hotel but so enjoyed it we stayed two more! Fabulous restaurant, great staff and the indoor and outdoor pools were thoroughly enjoyed after some great hikes. One of my favourite hotels in Sao Miguel.
