The evening we visited it was really busy mostly with hens and stags and alot of them! Food was ok, The main was the beef which was tasty but sadly cold. Nobody around to complain to as they seemed understaffed for how busy they were! There was barely anyone serving us and half of our group (15 people) got a drinks order prior to the meal, the other half didn't. When we asked during the meal if we could place an order we were advised they would be back to take same but that didn't happen. However, I can say the chocolate brownie was a talking point and still is! Honestly the best we have ever had, and I mean amazing! It's the only saving grace to this review unfortunately.

Lovely cosy warm hotel food in Restaurant is so nice and service by our gorgeous pleasant young girl with long black hair ( didnt catch her name ) was so nice On arrival we had bowl vegetable soup with brown bread Later for evening meal .. We had roast of the day & it was the nicest xmas style dinner ive ever had Turkey & Ham were melt in mouth with creamy mash & veg ( highly recommend) Over all a great be-lated mothers day for our mam Thanks to all lovely staff Audrey & Gillian & Mam Sheila ,,Dublin

Nice hotel - very central - 12 of us for a stag weekend - rooms a little basic but very clean - a bit pricey for a twin room - only had the breakfast which was pretty good

Very centrally located with friendly staff. There is no onsite parking, but a discount is offered at a local car park 3 blocks away. The hotel is older and a little dated, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable enough though showing a bit of wear and tear. Bathroom was also spacious. Breakfast was very busy and was half self serve and half service. The choice and quality were average but acceptable.

Had dinner here on 16th May. The food was very bad, from tasteless soup to a bland spinach tortellini that looked unappetising, slop is the only way to describe it. Three of us were physically sick from the food and just wanted to leave. The waiting staff at no point asked any of us if we had enjoyed any part of our meal, I can only assume they knew themselves just how bad the food they were serving was. Very bad experience all round and I would not recommend here.

Stayed here with a group of friends for a 50th birthday celebration …very friendly staff especially Olga in the restaurant at breakfast…she looked after us so well ,nothing was too much for her even though we were probably annoyingly hungover..would definitely stay here again

I was disappointed in my stay. I had asked the hotel if they could leave a packet of biscuits or chocolate as a kind gesture because I was bringing my sister away for two nights as she has had a bad time of late. They emailed me to say that was no problem. I arrived at the hotel, there is a kettle to make tea but no water and no treats as promised. I rang about the water, the receptionist asked me to go to the bar to get it. I then met the manager and he kindly got us the water. The hotel needs an update. The food was not great, the staff were nice but no personal touch or going the extra mile for you. The location is the best part of the hotel, unfortunately it was an OK stay, I was really disappointed about the request not being granted after receiving an email to say it would be! Galway is a fabulous place and Peter the manager is so nice!

The location was perfect! Walked from the bus/train station and easily found the hotel on Eyre Square. First impression of my room was that it felt rather drab - but it was clean, and though bathroom was small - it was bright and shiny and clean with lots of towels provided and great water pressure in the shower. The room grew on me and I slept well though could clearly hear music from the pub below on Friday and Saturday night. Dinner was excellent - salmon was the catch of the day and I ate every morsel! Breakfast was full and plentiful though pre-packaged pastries. Staff was always available and very helpful. Easy to catch tour bus from Kinley Hostel for Cliffs of Mohr and very close to lots of shopping, pubs and Murphy's Ice Cream. Not a lot of extra amenities - but everything I needed.

Location excellent right in thick of things. Room was very large and clean. The only thing was the safe deposit box wasn’t accessible as in bottom of wardrobe and turned sideways you would have to lay on floor and be a contortionist to see the numbers ! Nice bath and shower, that was not downside.. Quiet room but did stay on Sunday and Monday night might be different on weekend. I read reviews and nearly didn’t book as said breakfast wasn’t good, and rooms not nice. I disagree as it was great, nice and hot breakfast lots of choice. . Bar and restaurant staff very friendly. We would stay again

Had dinner yest day in the hotel and it was very disappointed the food was cold and sloppy there’s no way it’s 3 stat quality the vegetables were cold and potato and the cottage pie was utter disgrace won’t be back there again

Stayed at the imperial Hotel in Galway for 2 nights brilliant hotel top class breakfast lovely big room in walking distance of all great pubs shops etc and lovely helpful staff thank you for making my trip so good I'd highly recommend this hotel I will b back again

We had a lovely stay at this hotel from start to finish. The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel at ease the moment we arrived. Our room was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views overlooking Eyre Square. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Nothing was ever a problem for the staff — they were so accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Had the pleasure of staying in the Imperial for 1 night. I have used this hotel before and always have found it great value. If anything, the hotel has improved. Beautiful friendly staff and the room was spotlessly clean and warm. Breakfast was excellent. Congratulations to the manager and staff for their excellent standards. Will definitely be back.
