Premier Inn Haydock Park/M6 J23

Awful experience. Turned up at our room to be overwhelmed with the smell of cigarettes. So much so my son felt sick. Reception said the hotel was fully booked and gave my husband some air freshener and told him to open the window (9.30pm at night in February!) and turn on the fan. On our return home we opened our bags and found that our clothes from the day before and night wear smelt, even my sons cuddly toys needed airing. Absolutely disgusting.

Staff are absolutely brilliant they make you welcome and in the restaurant they are very pleasant and make you feel comfortable and any hiccups they are there to sort everything I absolutely 💯 love ❤ coming here in all the times I've been here I've never had any problems they are a great team to be serving the customers

The hotel was clean and efficient, great value on a Friday night. The following morning my wife and I went for breakfast and it was a wonderful start to the day. The young lady, Alisha, greeted us with a warm smile and nothing was too much trouble, she was outstanding. The breakfast was fantastic, cooked to order and everything perfect, even the poached eggs. We've stayed in many hotels over the years (some a lot more expensive!) and this was, by far, the best breakfast and service we have had. All credit to Alisha, the front of house and the kitchen staff, thank you, a nice experience and a great start to the weekend. NB. Yes, I have read some of the other reviews... Ours was truly a first-rate experience.

The service and the food in the restaurant was terrible the room was clean and bed comfortable. The food was late in the evening and the burgers were inedible the curry and pizza was ok when they finally arrived. The chef can even make scrambled eggs , they were rubbery and cold … in edible

Spacious room and very comfortable bed. Adjacent restaurant was convenient, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast was excellent. Not only was a kettle with tea and coffee supplied in the room but additional milk, tea bags and coffee was available at the reception desk.

Very clean and comfortable stay, with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a decent breakfast. You need to take a USB power adaptor (as well as cable) to charge a phone. The USB socket above the desk is a USB port for the TV which WILL charge a phone but only if the TV is switched on. The facade of the hotel and adjacent restaurant (and inside of restaurant) would benefit greatly from a facelift. The overall experience was very good and it was great value for money !
