Island Guesthouse is perfect for your accomodation right in the center of Il Gzira, and very near the harbour-boulevard (The Strand) The service is excellent and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large, had air-condition, micro-oven, electric kettle and an unlimited supply of coffee and tea. Housekeeping every day. All in all a very pleasant stay and very, very good value for money. I would definitely recommend Island Guesthouse any day.

Great location for dining out and bus routes and easy access to Valetta. We arrived late and received excellent email instructions about access in the room after the foyer was locked. However some details could have been better, like the opening windows in the room didn't fit the frames well and rattled in the wind at night (temporary fix was easy but should not have been necessary). Overall good value though. Beware that most of this part of Malta is currently a buiding site.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful . The property is ideal for a short break, though the place is basic it’s clean and very good place to stay.

Island Guesthouse Il Gzira Worst experience ever! Mould alert! 874752324 I have travelled a lot and I‘m not very fussy with accommodation. But this has been the first time in my life to leave even before spending the night. This place smells horrible and the room is full of mould. Everywhere! It‘s a complete rippoff and they are not forthcoming at all. Refused to give me a refund, even a partial one even though what they are selling is a comlete lie and the reality is far from what they say about the place on ***********. On top of everything, the pillow was definitely not clean, it looked very used and the sheets not fresh! That’s what actually made me grab my things and run… So my advice: DO NOT GO THERE!

I stayed here for over a week and would highly recommend. Great location and value for money, and the staff are lovely and accommodating. Note if staying in the accessible room on the ground floor there is a curtain rather than a door for the bathroom.

Awful experience. We had booked 7 nights at mid June, at 1st night we came at the hotel at 12 at night and we found a bug, we killed it. Second night, we came at 01.00 at night after a wedding and we found two bugs (we took photos for evidence). We tried to contact the owner of the hotel at 01.00 but no response. We couldn't stayed anymore and we changed hotel. We had payed the whole amount at the morning of the 2nd day and we never get the money back.
