La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Airport

Horrible experience. The hotel was nasty, the floors were so dirty, there were bed bugs, blood on the sheets, hair everywhere, and I couldn’t sleep. There was an alarm that went off at 5am which is unpredictable but the staff were not helpful at all. I asked for Lysol wipes that were behind the counter. They wouldn’t give me one, and the man said I was being rude and threw them in the trash. Truly traumatic experience and I am waiting for a refund with the help of booking. I don’t want any credits I just want my money back. I have bed bug bites everywhere and stranded now.

The service was excellent. All the people at the front desk and the shuttle driver, we’re very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was mediocre. I liked the location, because this hotel is on the end of a road and far from any highway, so I could sleep with out having to wear earplugs, as I have to do at a lot of the other hotels in the area.

Convenient to get to the Miami airport. It is about a 45 minute drive during non peak traffic. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Conveniently located at 95/Sheridan. Close to Airport, 10 minutes from the beach, 7 minutes from the Hardrock ****** and supet close to all major freeway access. Staff are very friendly and spoke variety of English, Spanish and French. Shout-out to 'R' at the front desk for being so personable.

Upon arrival to the airport was unable to get anyone on the phone at the front desk to request the airport shuttle. Had confirmed earlier in the day that I needed to call once I was at baggage claim. Called several times over 30 minutes and could not reach anyone. Ended up having to take an Uber. The room was extremely dirty and dusty. The breakfast in the morning was so crowded there was no food left, other than cereal with no milk. No other food options within walking distance. Would not recommend for $300 a night for the 6 hrs that I spent there.

The best thing was the front desk staff at check in. After that, it was all downhill. Rooms are okay and need a little updating. Any amenities are non-existent. There was a half ounce bar of soap and not even a soap dish to place it on after use. The shower handle couldn’t even be moved to turn on because it was tightened so tight to prevent dripping . Clearly, that had been happening for quite a while based on the hard water stain on the tub. The water saving shower head provided so little pressure it wouldn’t even rinse shampoo from your hair without filling a cup with water to pour directly over your head. Add the slow draining tub and sink which both were retaining water and it was pretty disgusting. It also explains why there is an overwhelming smell of sewage and mold throughout the hotel. I called to the front desk and asked for help with the issues. I was told they would send someone up shortly. I called back 30 minutes later. The same man answered and said he was just going to call and ask if we still needed help, that HE was getting ready to come up and check the shower. In effect, their front desk clerk is also the maintenance man, who doesn’t have time to check on problems with the property because he is busy checking people in.Breakfast was supposed to be included but there were too few chairs and too little food for the number of people there. For a $300 per night hotel, there should be working plumbing. Pool had leaves covering the bottom. Very dirty looking.

Great location convenient to everything in Fort Lauderdale. The property is older and somewhat dated but is generally clean and well maintained, with two exceptions: the elevator is small and slow and the toilet in our room was difficult to flush.

The property very nice close to everything. Staff was amazing very knowledgeable about things to do in the area. They offer shuttle to drop you off at the shopping plaza. It was very nice and different. Thanks

Pretty surroundings. Bathroom and furnishings could use an update. Breakfast somewhat disappointing.
