ル・マノワール・デ・インプレッショニスト - ホテル＆レストラン

Wow !! What an amazing place. We were recommended by some friends to try this place if ever in the locality and it did not disappoint. We left our cruise ship (docked in Le Havre) for a 30 -40 mins drive to Hornfleur. From the moment we turned up the beautifully manicured driveway, to the welcome, to the wine list, the menu, the service, the food, the wine, the Madame we could not fault this place ata ll and will most definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel and very sweet rooms amid some nature and facing the water. There was a nice breakfast offered, while dinner is only offered Some of the days so we didn’t experience it. We also were hoping to use the spa facilities but they have converted the spa and made changes and it is only offered to those who booked the special adjacent suite. In terms of staff, we arrived in the evening for only one night and were hoping to get assistance in booking things for the next day since it was our only day there, but the woman at the reception kept saying she was busy and didn’t get around to it, which was disappointing. In the morning however, the man who replaced her was very helpful and extremely nice! So was the woman who served us breakfast. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and the place and view were very relaxing, and just a walk away from the town of Honfleur and the beach right in front.

As soon as we drove up we were met by the host, who helped us with our bags and showed us to our room. It was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Views of the garden and the water. The open windows let in the sound of the surf and birdsong. It was like staying in your own home, if you happen to live in a gorgeous French manor house! Breakfast is served in the other building on the grounds - it was amazing with coffee, tea, juices, eggs, yoghurt, all kinds of fruit (the pears!!), breakfast breads and pastries, meat and cheeses. We had dinner here one night - it was perfectly delicious with the very best service and presentation. My husband had the smoked salmon and the local scallops. I would have been more jealous if I had not had the pumpkin soup and roasted duck breast with local vegetables. Everyone was just lovely. I am disappointed I only booked two nights here.

We spent 4 nights in luxury room on first floor (with balcony and great view across the Seine to Le Havre). Enormous bed ! Great bathroom / shower. Restuarant two minutes walk in separate building. Very smart, good standard, slightly limited menu. A foot tunnel under road by hotel to beach where you can walk long distance in either direction. About 1 mile from Honfleur old town where parking can be challenging but we always found space.

Cet hôtel ne vaut pas cinq étoiles. D'abord, les points positifs : cet hôtel a un emplacement unique dans un cadre magnifique. La localisation est vraiment belle et idéale pour les visites. Le petit déjeuner est très pauvre et vraiment pas ce que nous attendons d'un hôtel cinq étoiles à ces prix. Nous avons dû porter nos valises nous-mêmes dans les escaliers, ce qui m'a causé des douleurs au dos depuis plus d'une semaine. Il n'y avait personne pour aider. Cela devrait et pourrait être à un tout autre niveau. Nous n'y retournerons pas. Vraiment dommage.

Points positifs : l’endroit est idéalement situé dans un parc de deux ou trois hectares, face à la mer et donc aussi près d’une belle plage. Restaurant de type gastronomique où j’ai très bien mangé (compliments au chef). Points négatifs : immeuble ancien avec plancher en bois, donc lorsque vous avez une chambre occupée au-dessus de la vôtre, vous entendez tous les déplacements de vos voisins. Insonorisation non optimale puisqu’une nuit nous avons entendu les ronflements venant d’une chambre voisine (heureusement juste une nuit). Pas de mini frigidaire dans la chambre. Pas de chaînes télé allemandes avec le satellite, pourtant nous avons croisé énormément de touristes de langue allemande durant notre semaine passée en Normandie. Choix limité en pain, confitures, charcuteries et fromages au buffet du petit déjeuner (ceci pour un hôtel cinq étoiles). À part le savon et shampoing, pas de variété de produits de toilette dans la salle de bains comme on peut le voir dans tous les cinq étoiles. Nous avons payé 480 euros par nuit (ptt déj inclus) pour un séjour de trois nuits, mais en consultant – durant notre séjour – le site Internet de l’hôtel nous avons trouvé pour la même chambre (type Elegance) notre première nuit à 309 euros (ptt déj inclus) et la troisième nuit à 306 euros (ptt déj inclus). On appelle cela de la tarification dynamique, en attendant on a juste l’impression d’être des clients pigeons ! Pour avoir fréquenté de nombreux hôtels de cette classe, nous ne comprenons pas comment cet établissement puisse afficher cinq étoiles.
