「University /University dorm partially turned into a hotel with minimal investment. The result is mostly positive. The hotel is very photogenic so it's easy to get the impression that it's much more swanky than it actually is.. I enjoyed my stay, the staff is friendly, it's clean, surrounded by greenery and nice views. Don't let the name Hotel Palacio fool you, don't expect a palace, the hotel is modest but comfortable. Location wise, it's out of town which was no problem for me as I had prearranged a motorbike during my 7 days stay. For those pending on jeepney public transport or tricycle taxis, places like the baywalk are far away. The van I had organised to the airport early morning with the receptionist was punctually waiting for me. Everything was good. Expect a 3 star property and you won't be disappointed.」
「The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the El Nido town. It is an ideal hotel for solo travellers due to its location, being so close to an abundance of restaurants and bars. However, the hotel felt somewhat tired and the staff disorganised. The receptionist told me I needed to pay the deposit, to which point I got the cash from my room and returned, to meet a new receptionist who told me I didn’t need to pay it. The bar did not offer a bill charge to the room which also surpised me. There is no wifi in the room, and my local SIM card data also had no signal, so prepare to be disconnected if you are in the room.」
