Le Grand Chalet is a wonderful boutique hotel in the beautiful town of Gstaad. The property truly embodies what the town promises… ”Come Up Slow Down”. The views from the property are breathtaking & the location tranquil. The property is truly made special by its great professional, dedicated & wonderful team. Not to mention the excellent selection of food & wine at La Bagatelle, which in our opinion is the best restaurant in town. Having stayed at the property multiple times earlier, we returned in June 2022 for yet another wonderful stay. Each team member is wonderful, but thanks to Carole, Fabienne, Kristina, Martine, Charles, Patricia, Barbara, Margaux, Joris, Diana & Pedro who helped make our stay so special. The only regret was they could have organised better weather, given the heat wave across Europe. 😉 Truly a special place when visiting Gstaad.
The true meaning of 5 star hotel, very professional young staff, it is like you are in tour own luxury home. There is private shuttle to the promenade. They can provide portable AC. Kids room. Private cinema. And the fine dine is a must to try Special thanks to Christine, Alvaro & all the staff.
My room was located at the side of the hotel, overlooking the river. It was delightful to open my balcony door and hear the sound of running water filling my room (to be clear it was the sound that came into my room, not the water itself). Inside, the room was spacious and had a style sitting somewhere between Scandinavian and Swiss alpine. The hotel is on the edge of town and provides ready access to the surrounding countryside, including a pathway by the aforementioned river. I had both lunch and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food and service were good and there is a nice outdoor area to dine in, weather permitting. All of the staff that I encountered at the hotel were professional and welcoming. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay in charming Gstaad.
