「An average stay, just a place to sleep on your journey. Temperature was not under our control. Thermostat was stuck on 18 (I thought the button was stuck but was later told they have set them all to 18) so it just pumped out freezing air. Naturally you'd then sleep under covers, only to wake in the middle of the night boiling hot because the air con turns itself off in the night.」

「The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff very good. The rooms are quite dated and ours wasn’t very clean.  On our 2nd day we went out at 9.30am and arrived back at the hotel at 16.30pm only to find our room had not been made up. The staff knocked on the door at approximately 5pm to make the room up. The evening meals we had were very good. Breakfast was good but had a long wait for it to arrive」

「No.1ゲストハウスで最も豪華な滞在をしました-ヨークで見たりやったりすることがあまりなかったら、私たちは幸せに滞在し、週末中ずっとホテルを楽しんだでしょう。スタッフは素晴らしかった、特にエリーは私たちをとても歓迎してくれて、私たちのために十分にできなかった。私たちはバーエリアに座ってカクテルを飲みながら(バラ色のマルガリータは素晴らしかった)、すべての芸術とかわいい蒸気機関車を見るのが大好きでした。ホテルはとても居心地が良く、一年のこの時期に最適です。私たちは間違いなく戻ってきます!」

「The hotel is good, situated in a nice place (for drivers), parking is free. Room was of a good size, very clean and quiet. Water pressure and temperature were amazing, enjoyed our showers. Good to have a breakfast included as well. Hotel is clean and looks recently renovated. Floors are solid. Huge and good towels, a lot of light in the room. Heating was on when it got colder. Staff were very friendly and nice. Parking was full because of the bank holiday, had to stay far on an overflow parking, good that they have it. Warning about 160 fee for running hot water with the steam was honestly scary and inappropriate. Bed was just double, small for us. We were only able to sleep on our sides (my husband is big, I am average). Breakfast was tasty, but basic. Coffee (you choose tea or coffee) in a pot was too much for 1 person and not tasty at all. No fresh vegetables or/and vegetables, no sliced cheese, no pastry.」

「A very convenient location located within the city centre of York. There are numerous bus stops just located within 3 mins of walking making it very easy to travel to rail station or designer outlet. Moreover, there are numerous groceries such as saintsbury, Tesco and M&S foods. 10mins walk to York minister. It comes with complementary breakfast as well and it has many varieties and delicious. From the room you can overlook the Clifford castle as well.」

「電車が4時間遅れて到着しましたが、フロントのスタッフに伝えるととても親切に対応していただき、無料のドリンクまでいただきました。利用した場所はすべてとても清潔でした。 低層のクイーンルームに宿泊しましたが、支払った料金（180ポンド）の割には狭く、簡素な作りだと思いました。椅子2脚、机、大きなテレビ、ベッドがありました。景色は通りの壁しか見えませんでした。部屋はダイニングエリアの下だったので、朝6時から起きていました。キッチンからはドアを叩く音や椅子が床を擦る音が聞こえたように思います。 朝食には二人ともとてもがっかりしました。 フルイングリッシュは最悪でした！スクランブルエッグ、ソーセージ、ベーコン、グリルトマト、ハッシュブラウン、豆は質が悪く、ハッシュブラウンと豆は売り切れで、5分以上待たされ、残りの料理は皿の上で冷めてしまいました。肉もチーズも冷めていました！加工されたハムとチーズは味気ない…地元産の食材はどこへ行ってしまったのでしょうか？ スタッフは常に親切で、駅にも近いです。」

「Everything about the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble at all. The staff were all very friendly and could not have obliged any better that. We went out on the Saturday evening into York and the hotel booked us a taxi. Upon return we had a night cap to finish off a beautiful day. The General Manager was interested to hear how the day and evening had been and stayed with us for about 15 minutes. The dinner we had on the Friday night and the breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday were lovely. We will definitely return at a later date..」

「Absolutely lovely room. Perfect location just moments away from the city centre. We didn’t have any food at the hotel so can’t comment on that, but we did have a complimentary coffee on our morning of departure which was very much appreciated! Last time we came, we stayed at The Grand, and we have also visited The Churchill previously. I would say Hotel du Vin exceeds both. 10/10 no notes, and would definitely stay again.」
