ザ フェイマス ファーム(The Famous Farm)

Stayed at the Famous Farm after trekking to EBC. It was the perfect place to rest and recover, outside the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The food we at here was the best we had in Nepal. The drive from Kathmandu was long, windy, and bumpy, but that is to be expected in Nepal. The staff, especially Ramesh, was very helpful with food and medicine needed to help the motion sickness subside. Ramesh also gave a nice walking tour of the village. It is a small a quiet location outside of the main town and great for unwinding. We enjoyed eating our meals outside, watching the sunset, the friendly dog (Obama), and the morning prayers from the temple. Great experience!

What an incredible place!! The staff, location, and building are just AMAZING. Ramesh and his team looked after us so well and even let us help in this kitchen. The food is lovely (baked apples were a highlight). The rooms are stunning and attention to detail is second to none. It is so peaceful and all you can hear are the birds outside.

I was my second time with my sisters. The environment was very nice. I loved the flowers and everything about the farm. It was my best trip. The service and hospitality were also 10/10. I would love to visit again. It one of the best places to go and enjoy nature. Also it is near from Kathmandu.

A really delightful place to stay. Justified a special occasion. All the necessary comforts without it feeling westernised. The views from the balconies and restaurant terrace are breathtakingly beautiful. The staff are kind, friendly and sincere. The food is great. The bird-life is fascinating. Very relaxing with a sense of simple luxury.

The concepts ,nature and heritage was super…..and the food is also nice.. the only thing when we enter they said it was closed and open for only who has pre booking…and we felt so bad as their first impression…we come from Kathmandu only for to see and stay but they deny to stay their and later we said to spend lunch and they say ok…..

Our stay at the Famous Farm was perfect. The property is beautifully kept and charming. The garden is stunning and a pleasure to enjoy. The food was among the best we ate during our trip to Nepal, and the staff were so hospitable and took great care of us. It’s the perfect destination to relax and unwind for a couple of nights.

Excellent location with great hospitality and good cooking. A place that inspires to wake up. This hotel was a highlight of our 10 days motocycle trip. Something to remembrement. Have a look at there photo book from the destruction in 2015 and rebuilding.

It was a bit of drive to get here but it was well worth it! It is fairy tale beautiful with gorgeous vistas, historic buildings, and gardens everywhere. My husband is tall so he had to stoop to get in and out of our room, but that just added to the overall charm. There are mosquito nets over the beds and windows that open right onto the cliffside. There are beautiful candlelit dinner tables and we asked for local food for our meals and it did not disappoint. They have a large beer cooler so you can enjoy a cold beer from the patio while watching a majestic sunset. This is one of the more truly memorable places I have ever stayed. Short walk to the Nuwakot Durbar where you can explore a beautiful 18th century palace.

One of the best heritage hotels I’ve stayed in. Great work by Ramesh and the team maintaining, gardening and preparing great meals in this wonderful period property. In particular wonderful atmosphere has been created with a stunning mountain backdrop.
