Nice staff, a lovely house, and a charming location. This place has the potential to be a great boutique hotel, but it seems undecided whether it wants to be a hotel for peaceful stays or a bar. For the second time this week (Saturday evening and Wednesday evening), there was a loud business gathering, making it noisy until late at night.

For a boutique it is very well run and the location is very convenient for my business needs. I just missed the conveniences of a large hotel. The beds are hard—not uncommon for Africa boutique-mosquitos were prolific —room very basic and generally uncomfortable. But probably the best Kigali has to offer for a boutique.

Comfortable rooms, staff were helpful and courteous, they gave us a gift when we departed - kitchen was under renovation when we visited, so we did not experience the food service. The hotel location avoided the sounds of the city, making for a restful stay.

I spend hours pouring over where to stay on vacation and I can only say that Amata N’Ubuki surpassed my high expectations. It is located in a lovely safe area and the hotel is spotless and extremely well decorated with beautiful artwork and objet D’art but what makes the hotel so special are the people who own and run it. Charlotte the owner is an absolute gem, so incredibly gracious with her time and a wonderful host. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was extra special and my daughter and I could not be more appreciative. Thank you so much. Drinks on the patio learning about her wonderful country was a special treat. And the service is impeccable. The staff are extremely attentive to your needs. Without asking upon returning to our from a swim, someone arrived at the door with blow driers for my daughter and I. Wow, that was impressive! All I can say is this spot is a little gem in a lovely city and I highly recommend it! Merci encore Charlotte!

What an absolute gem of a hotel. The location is conveniently close to the convention centre and walking distance to many attractions in town. The hotel itself is so thoughtfully designed and laid out. The artwork and decor were carefully curated. The staff was incredibly attentive and all so kind and communicative. I loved breakfasts out on the patio and felt so very much at home. One of my favourite hotel experiences ever. When I go back to Kigali I will only stay there.

We traveled to Kigali for a conference and spent a week at the Amata n'Ubuki hotel. This is a truly exceptional hotel. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, kind and helpful; they made us feel completely at home. We felt totally spoiled! The hotel is in a gorgeous mansion with beautiful artsy decor and the rooms were impeccable with every comfort provided. The location is in a quiet leafy neighbourhood of Kigali, near to art galleries and restaurants. It is just a 10 minute walk to the convention center and the perfect place to stay for anyone attending an event there. We were sad to leave and can't wait to return. Our experience in Kigali was unforgettable, and this hotel played a large part in making the place feel so special to us.

Fabulous intimate environment. Very clean. Great service and food. Rooms were great with A/C! Great pool! Rooms were well decorated with lovely showers and verrrry comfy robes. The staff were all very delightful and attentive. We came with our large family ranging in ages and they loved it all too. Great gazebo outside fir intimate dinner or family discussion or anything. Lovely!

This is an excellent hotel if you don't want a big hotel but you want to be close to the action. Quiet, well located and boutique. Great attentive staff, excellent restaurant (frequented by locals which is always a good sign), comfortable rooms. I accidently left my passport at the hotel and they went out of their way to make sure I my inconvenience was minimised. I would recommend for couples, solo or a family stay.

This is a hidden gem in a stately home. Charm is abundant. The restaurant is chic and leisurely. The grounds are lush and beautifully manicured. Located very close to convention center and other points of interest in Kigali. This place is quiet, private and elegant. Perfect for adults.
