「This hotel has a huge potential: located in its own quite beautiful and very quiet park with lake (due to its origins as State / Party guesthouse), in the city center, spacious rooms, historic 1950s architecture Sadly though, management and staff do not take pride in and do not invest in this potential: for example under Amenities/Cleaning services the hotel lists ”Laundry service (off-site)” and ”Laundry service (on-site)”, however the front desk told us we had to do our laundry ourselves. So we did (queuing and standing guard in the laundry room in a different building from 2300 to 0200 (this is a first class hotel)), when we complained next morning, they claimed a ”misunderstanding” and ridiculously offered to do our laundry again?! They then sent some fruit to our room... In the breakfast hall, while the buffet is quite rich, tables are never really cleaned, let alone the place mats, a really disgusting daily experience. After checking out, they send you a template for an excellent review. They have no shame.」
