Porto Bello Beach

Amazing hotel, stayed here with a family of 6 for a week. The food was always delicious and hot and plenty of choice but dinning room did get busy at tea time. The restaurant is fully self service and you need to find your own table and get your own drinks etc. Never had an issue getting a sunbed at the beach (and I am not up early, around 09:30) the pool did however get busy with people reserving sunbeds. Kids club was fantastic and Au was absolutely amazing with the kids and running the mini disco each night. She really made our holiday and is a real asset to the hotel. Hotel and rooms were very clean. The towels were changed daily in our room. The rooms are very modern however does lack some storage. Can’t wait to return

Had a relaxing time. Food was great, Thank you House keeping staff keep place immaculate. Thank you Mpumi & Amy for making sure we knew what activities happening where and where and the dancing after the shows was such great fun. Loved the different themed restaurants.and that at any given time there is somewhere where you can grab food if you miss meal times.

We stayed at the hotel 28th May-11th of June, a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 5 and 13. We upgraded our room via the hotel before we arrived to one of the swim up rooms - I’d highly recommend doing this if the rooms are available, it really made our holiday. We had a nightmare flying out with TUI and my husbands suitcase never arrived in Kos, the reception staff were really helpful when we arrived at the hotel, I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews saying they are unhelpful and rude but we had the complete opposite experience and couldn’t fault them. The women in the hotel shop were really helpful also, they helped us to pick out some clothes and toiletries we needed and advised where in town we could pick up some medication etc he needed. We had one of the junior suite swim up rooms, it had 1 single bed, a double bed and a double sofa bed. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room and the most annoying thing was that there was no mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom which can make it difficult getting ready when you’ve got people in the shower and the only mirror in the room steams up! The swim up pools were great and it was nice not having to worry about waking up early to reserve a sunbed at the main pool, it’s just a shame that anybody within the hotel can use the swim up pools as it meant in the afternoon it could be really busy, which isn’t an issue when people are respectful but slightly irritating when people are bombing in the pool and making loads of noise - I’d say that’s what the main pool should be for, especially when your paying extra for the swim up. We couldn’t fault the restaurant, there was lots of choice and the food was always hot. The restaurant staff were really attentive and you weren’t having to wait ages for tables to be cleaned or plates to be collected. We tried the al a cartes and thought the Greek was by far the best. We weren’t overly fussed by the Italian and Mediterranean. The waterpark was a 5 minute walk away and great for kids of all ages. We found that if you go at around 3pm/3:30pm it wasn’t as busy. The animation team were brilliantly, our children absolutely loved Mr D and he always took time to come over, have a chat and give them a high 5. My daughter loved the kids mini disco but the songs changed on our 2nd week. On our last night we asked Mr D if they could play her favourite song from our first week, he went out of his way to speak to other members of the animation team and at the end of the night they played the song with all the animation staff getting on stage to dance - it really made her holiday, thank you Mr D! I’ve always said that I’d never return to a hotel twice but we might make an exception for this hotel as we absolutely loved our stay and our children are desperate to return.

This was our second time in Porto Bello beach and we had the most beautiful experience... the staff is kind, the food delicious and the youngest of our family loved the Waterpark. I will miss u all guys, but I promise to come back in September...

If your looking for a family get away then this is the hotel your looking for this hotel is by far the best hotel I've been too.the water park is really good and has a children's part too.the entertainment here is amazing there is always things going on and the disco is very good.

As we are just about to leave the Porto Bello Beach Hotel, I thought now would be a good time for a review. Overall, the hotel is very good. It’s generally clean and tidy, with friendly staff, good-quality of food (including choice) and most of what you would expect from a 4* hotel. The entertainment team are very good. Our 2 year-old loved the mini disco every night and saying hello to the entertainment team when they were about during the day. The beach was easily accessible and it was easy to get sun beds when you wanted (sun beds around the main pool do get reserved very early and are pretty much gone by 8:30am). Our room was suitable for what we needed and we had sea view. There are just a few little things that stop me from giving this 5/5, rather than 4/5, the main ones being: 1) No waiting service around the pool/pool bar area - if you want a drink, you have to get it yourself (I have been to several other 4* hotels that provide full waiting services). I am told there is a waiting/table service in the main bar, however, in our experience, this does not extend to the further tables and sofas further up the lobby 2) No air conditioning in main reception/indoor area. This also means there is nowhere cool to go during the day when you want to escape the sun/heat, as the only bar open is the pool bar, which is obviously outdoors As I say, we have been happy with our stay and will probably return at some point in the future, but hopefully some of the above issues may have been resolved by then.

A very good hotel for a family holiday. Great location where you can walk straight onto the beach. We went half way through the half term so it wasn’t crazy busy and you could generally still get a sun bed at 08:30 or in the afternoons. Large saltwater pool which was fine and warm. Terrible flooring around the pool area though, the hotel really need to look at this. I’m sure you will meet Tedi, he is hilarious! Just watching his aquafit class in the morning was great entertainment! Down at the beach, there were loads of sunbeds. You get to use the pedalos 30mins each day for free, don’t book just turn up. It was a great shame the Mediterranean restaurant does not open in evenings for dinner as it’s a lovely location on the beach. Hardly any choice for food at the beach bar and just one poor staff serving meant it took ages. Food at the main restaurant was very good, although sometimes it would have been nice to have a bit more choice, and there was no option to have your own omelette cooked at breakfast for example. Also, you could not get a hot drink in the restaurant at lunch or dinner, very odd! Also for a hotel aimed at families, it was a bit late to open from 7pm, 6pm would have been far better. Watched a couple of shows for the evening entertainment which were good but the amphitheatre felt a bit detached to the rest of the hotel but at least you don’t get all the noise if your kids want to go to bed early. Great to be able to walk up to the water park with a good selection of slides. Annoying that the bar there wasn’t all inclusive even though the food made here came from the hotel itself. We found the hotel reception staff not the most helpful, which was the first time we have encountered this on a holiday. They didn’t know anything about things like the kids club or the water sports, response was ‘oh you will have to go down there and speak to them’. A lot of the information of what activities were on was not in English, seemed geared more for German visitors. Our room was lovely, we had a larger family room. It was actually two rooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Two balconies with the most beautiful views of the sea and mountains. TUI stated partial sea view but it most definitely was a full view! The beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning was great and worked very well. Cleaner came every day and changed towels daily. Didn’t use the safe as there was a charge. No deposit required for pool towels which were in our room on arrival. Highly recommend getting the bus or taxi into Kardamena, lots of restaurants, bars and shops. We visited in the morning and ate out there two evenings. Shops open until 10/11pm. Also worth walking up to the little church right next to the water park, so pretty with lovely views all around. There were a couple of weddings here when we were there. Overall a really nice holiday but a few tweaks here and there could make this hotel even better.

I have had many spa treatments over the years in different countries. Wow was this an amazing experience with Ahmed.. This hands worked so much magic. I could feel that he was so experienced in his service. Totally recommend - please ask for him you won’t be disappointed

I have just returned from spending a week on holiday at this hotel with my husband and children age 7 and 8. The food was amazing. The staff worked incredibly hard. Everywhere was spotless. The animation team were full of enthusiasm and were very friendly. We did the aqua aerobics, yoga and boccia. We also made use of the tennis court and water park, which is free of charge to hotel guests. My daughter went to the kids club. Aou who ran the kids club made it a lot of fun. Activities included T. Shirt painting, origami and face painting. The mini disco was a firm favourite with my girls. There is a small playground but if I was going to make a suggestion I would suggest that this could be improved by adding additional pieces of play equipment. The evening entertainment was good and included a LED and fire show, a circus show, a magic show, karaoke and live music. We had a really relaxing holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
