レイクサイド イン(Lakeside Inn on Lake Dora)

Beautiful, old hotel right on the lake in Mount Dora. She was showing her age but her charm made up for it. I was looking forward to the pool, unfortunately the water was the same temp at the air. Hot. 🥵 not refreshing at all. It looks like they have started a pier renovation/ improvement, but they seemed to have stopped mid way through, such a shame as it looks like it will be lovely when/if finished. It's within walking distance to everything in town so that is also nice. Despite the bathroom door not having any hardware, the water barely trickled out of the sink and the creaky bed, I would still stay here again

Michael in Maintenance was most helpful. At check-in he offered to carry our bags upstairs. We discovered the TV remote wasn’t working properly. He replaced it within minutes. Later in our stay we notified the desk of a clogged sink drain. Michael investigated and extracted a mini tube of toothpaste loged in the drain. The staff at the Reception desk were friendly and welcoming throughout our 4 day stay.

Lovely inn well located in old mt dora But you need to be aware that there are no elevators and you will have to haul your luggage up and down the stairs Also you can hear folks in adjoining room

The property itself is so charming. The main hotel lobby is stunning. Staff is very friendly. We had lunch on the porch and the food was delicious and staff very accommodating. Our room was in a side building. Room size was ok. Bed was very uncomfortable and they used a twin sheet sideways on a double bed so no sheet on bottom of bed. Also, bed squeaked when you sat on it or turned over. Tv was so antiquated that we had to have someone from service have to come and explain remote. No guide button on remote . Plus tv picture was distorted. Anyone walking the hallway and talking could be heard in your room easily. The grounds were lovely and town very close by. We liked the ambiance of the hotel but they need to update beds, linens and tv

Great location. Staff in dining room and bar were wonderful. Wasn’t easy to secure a slightly late checkout. One day there wasn’t much hot water for a shower

Charming and full of character. My room had been renovated. The mattress could have been renovated as well, but it wasn’t. WiFi lacked web access. However, I truly enjoyed the stay and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Keeping in mind that this is the oldest hotel in Florida, the hotel had a slight sewage smell to the water but I found rgatvto be rhe same for tap water everywhere in Mt Dora. Iblive in South Florida where the water quality is excellent. This hotel is charming and historical. The setting and location cannot be beat. Right in downtown Mt Dora on a huge lake with a huge 1920s pool deck overlooking lake. Walking distance to everything. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The beds were comfortable and we had a king size bed with 8-10 pillows in the room. Definitely pricey though

I loved it all! Mount Dora in general and the stay at Lakeside Inn was just a little slice of heaven on earth.
