ホテル アストリア(Hotel Astoria)

The front desk staff were friendly and all spoke English. The rooftop bar was a total vibe and we spent hours up there each night of our stay. The food was tapas style and pretty good. The attendant in the cafe downstairs was super friendly and gave restaurant ideas for dinner. We were a quick 5 min walk to the river and Chapel Bridge. Finally our room, it was on the 1st floor on the 300 hall. Not overly spacious but definitely doable. It was clean and the be was comfortable. The overall stay was great.

The best thing I can say is the room and bathroom are very clean. The room itself is terrible small. There was no place for the two of us to open our luggage other than the bed or the floor. No room to pass one another to and from the bathroom. The building is sectioned off into three separate parts. There are four restaurants within the hotel. Walking around the hotel trying to locate a restaurant is confusing. It’s like the hotel was slapped together from three different buildings. The elevators are a laugh. Barely able to get four people in them. That’s if you don’t havre luggage. We were on the street side so there was much noise at night. The room was too hot and temperature control in the room was non-responsive. You could open the window but then you’re contending with noise. You could do better in Lucerne.

The room was small and had an open plan style bathroom with no door between the bathroom and bedroom. The large shower was great. Breakfast was excellent. Location good and only a 5 min walk to the station and a bit longer to the old town. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Sehr zentral gelegenes, modernes Hotel inkl. diversen Restaurants und Bars. Jeder Gast findet auch Inhouse für seinen Geschmack etwas. Das DZ Standard war grosszügig. Mich persönlich stört das Geräusch der Lüftung, kann nicht ausgeschaltet werden. Fenster kann nur seitlich gekippt werden. Das Frühstück ist lieblos und gibt nicht viel her. Standard. Einzig frische Ananas und Früchte waren Hughlight. Auch der Raum ist nicht besonders ansprechend. Das Personal war anwesend, nicht auskunftsfähig.. keine Handdesinfektion am Buffet. Sicherlich ein ok Hotel, mitten in Luzern aber wenig Charm und Herzlichkeit vorhanden.

Das Hotel ist sehr Zentral gelegen, jedoch total in die Jahre gekommen und extrem überteuert. Ein 3 Bett Zimmer kostet die Nacht 460.- und das Zimmer ist sehr laut weil im selben Gebäude ein Nachtklub ist. Keine Minibar, keine Charme. Ich würde nicht wieder buchen. Parkplatz 45.- Frühstück ist von billiger Qualität. Das Personal kühl und sehr unpersönlich.

Mineralwasser 1/2 Liter 7.- Da muss man nichts mehr dazuschreiben, Einfach vorbeilaufen Personal versteht einen ja sowieso nicht. Völlig abgehoben wundert mich , dass die noch Gäste haben. Nicht einmal die Lage ist schön. An der Hauptstrasse mit viel Lärm

ACs in the room don’t work - it’s terribly hot. Hotel staff are unable to fix the problem. The ladies in the breakfast room don’t let you dine peacefully, they come to your table every 3 mins asking to clear the plate as if they have some target to get rid of guests as soon as possible. Vegetarians, please note there are no options besides fruits and one eggless bread. They don’t even keep hash browns or mashed potatoes or varieties of cheese - they only have eggs and some meat. On day 1, no housekeeping came in the room inspite of leaving the cleaning sign in front of the door. On the day of checkout, they completely invaded our privacy and since 8 am, entered our room 4 times without our consent and without us putting a sign to clean the room. Even a 1 star hotel wouldn’t do that and imagine a 4 star doing it. Housekeeping lady showed no sign of being sorry and continued to enter the room after just one knock and no reply from us. I can understand this if it was 12 PM but definitely not 8 am when guests are on holiday!!

Very clean, but soulless, a mess of a hotel - 3 former stand alone buildings knocked into one. It is a maze of staircases and difficult to navigate. Resident breakfast area is not the same as resident coach party guests - who seem to dominate the clientele. Be careful to chose the right breakfast room. Heating in the hotel is minimal. Very cold in the bedrooms at night. The hotel is set at 20 degrees and you can add 1 degree to this in your room. No extra bedding if you are cold. There are other hotel options in the same area. Only use this hotel as a last resort.

Our stay at hotel Astoria was very nice. The room was spacious and the bathroom had plenty of counter space for my cosmetics. I enjoyed the Nespresso in the room. The location was perfect. We could walk wherever we needed to in a short amount of time. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
