Poor service checking in. Room doesn’t lock without a lot of effort and room was freezing cold. No one there to talk to either. Shared shower wasn’t much fun either

Only stayed one night. Quiet and pleasant for a short stay. Private toilet room with sink. Shared shower. Good variety of breakfast in the morning.

The service and attention was superb. They upgraded us to an ensuite room as was not double bedrooms available, only tween beds, and for no extra cost. The rooms were very well equipped, with fridge, also shared kitchen, which for us was perfect. Overall very happy with the stay, would recommend 100%.

We were staying overnight in the area after attending a funeral. The location was very convenient and the instructions provided re entry to the premises were specific, and there was parking onsite. I guess OYO means on your own? We located our room upstairs. It was very small with a small bouncy double bed. The TV had only Netflix or Utube, no other channels. None of the drawers or cupboard doors staying shut, but sprang open on their own, causing a serious obstacle if one were to get up to the toilet in the night! The room was described as “ensuite” and there was a pedestal sink and toilet with soap and shampoos on the floor, but neither shower nor bath!!! The washing facilities were down the hall. Shades of the 1980s! Our room rate included breakfast, so we were looking forward to a cooked English breakfast to get us on our long journey home. No. It was get your own, searching through cupboards to locate what you needed, fruit drink rather than juice, no perked coffee, etc., and then we were expected to wash, dry and put away our own dishes. Better off with Travelodge or Premier Inn!

Spotlessly clean, the building was bright and airy. There was a room mix-up when my son and I arrived but it was sorted straight away by the friendly reception staff and a happy solution was found. Ample parking and they're quite laid-back about you parking in the back garden (which is has a nice lawn with picnic table. Breakfast, part of the deal but... an unusual setup. You are given access to the kitchen and to well stocked fridges and it's helped yourself. My son toasted crumpets for himself and I had yogurts. Cereal is available and you are even welcome to cook bacon and eggs as well. Tea and coffee, of course in the room and downstairs in the kitchen. If in the area, I'd certainly use it again.

Great little spot! Super clean and quiet little spot. Shared kitchen and laundry if you need, both are modern and clean spaces. Big open back garden with seats and very close to town, only about a 5-10 minute walk. Check in was easy and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Clean and welcoming. Good choice for breakfast. Great facilities. Great for family’s visiting the area, 5 of us and not much choice but at Wilson lodge they was the perfect family room. Staff welcomed our children with drinks upon Arrival. We visited Lego land which was not far away at all. Beds were comfy. Had everything we needed. Amazing value for money

This place is more like a hostel. Except the mattresses really need to be replaced, at least in the room we had. It was the family room. You could feel the springs. Did not get a good nights sleep. Also on a busy road. Breakfast is a do it yourself type of thing. Croissants are in a cellophane package soft, like you would get in a vending machine. Place is clean though as you do have to do your own dishes and clean up yourself. I guess some people live here. Some people must like it from the reviews but we are not used to paying this kind of money of a do it yourself breakfast and horrible mattress.

We had an amazing stay at Wilson Lodge for our Legoland trip. The room was brilliant-clean and comfortable with all the added extras to make it a home away from home! We were blown away by the breakfast offering, and it was so lovely to be able to please ourselves. A pleasure from enquiring all the way through and couldn’t I’ve been more helpful. We can’t wait to come back!
