AluaSoul Menorca - Adults Only

We had a funeral and had to change our check in date. After 32 calls with no answer we have presented ourselves at the hotel. Important note: We've paid in advance the full reservation. The hotel and trip.com didn't inform about the no show policy and when we apperead at the hotel we didn't have a room. The team was super rude and didn't help us at hotel. They left the reception, closed themselves in one room and didn't even attend our requests to get some support. When accessing trip page, booking page and the hotel page, there were rooms available so we requested again the team support. The reply from Alejandra, the recepcionist that was in the front desk, was that we have nothing to do with their reservation policy. We've called the reservation central and when the phone was in speaker mode the lady from the group even told 'you are trying to fool them, why don't you give them a room?' We are demanding to get our money back or credit from the 3 nights we've showed up and they didn't provide a room.

We were a little apprehensive about this hotel.After reading through the reviews.But we found it was ok,not the best hotel we have ever stayed at, but far from the worst.Every thing was clean and tidy,our room was like any other hotel room we have stayed in.The meals were ok,perfectly adequate.But like all hotels,after a while you can get tired of the same food every day.We found a nice restaurant and had a meal one night,which we do on every holiday.The hotel staff were all very nice and friendly,and happy to help. But the best part of the hotel was the pool area,it was lovely.The pool beds were the most comfortable i have ever been on.And the pool bar come restaurant was brilliant.There is very little to do at this hotel,so if it’s a quiet relaxing place you are looking for.This is the place for you,but bring a pack of cards .

We were lucky to have our rooms upgraded. Had our own plunge pool. Beds the comfiest ever! Everything about the hotel was first class, cleanliness, friendly staff and hard-working entertainment team. Nothing too much trouble.

We were transferred to this hotel due to under occupation at the sister hotel Alua Illa. I emailed Aluasoul to express my concerns at the bad reviews I'd seen on trip advisor, in particular about paying for sunbeds and loud music around the pool. They assured me we would not have to pay any extra so went ahead with the holiday. We arrived at 10.50pm just in time for a much needed wine or two. The bar closed at 11 but they let us have what we asked for - 3 glasses of wine. We asked if we could get anything to eat and were told that a table had been set for us with a cold plate in the dining room. It was closed, but they had set us a lovely meal of various salads, cold meats, crusty rolls, fruit etc. I cant tell you how much we welcomed this after a long journey. The following day we went in to the dining room and spoke to Daniel, I think the new assistant manager in the dining room? Told him about the bad reviews and he reassured us that things have changed. I can honestly say that every member of staff we met was so friendly and professional. It was difficult at the end of the holiday to decide who or how to tip. Everyone deserved something, it would have been easy to pay hundreds - from the unseen people that cooked the wonderful food, the smily efficient cleaners, bar staff, people in the spa, reception staff , dining room people, animation team, pool bar people - just all members of staff. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. We didnt have to pay for sunbeds, and the ambience around the pool - relaxing (low volume!) music and waves lapping a few feet from your feet - was just so relaxing. We experienced an abundance of kindness. If you want mad Ibiza music this place is not for you.Right on the seafront - sit down and soak in the sounds of the waves. If youre in need of rest and relaxation and looking for perfect customer service then please come here, you wont regret it. Added extra - the most comfortable hotel bed I ever slept on memory foam! And so much fabulous food - wow! Downside? A seagull stole Paulas fried egg when she took her eye off the ball , much to other diners amusement!!! If staff are reading -Thank you so, so much, you were so kind and profesional. Paula and Sue - crazy old ladies!

I had originally booked at the next door Alua Illa however the property didn’t open due to low occupancy, so I was moved into a fabulous oceanfront room here on the top floor that couldn’t have been closer to the sea. Super friendly and helpful staff and expansive breakfast buffet, and nothing better than opening your doors and listening to the sounds of the waves roll in day and night. Would gladly return should I ever visit Menorca again, you will be in good hands!

Much in keeping with our last visit nothing has changed regards the down side of this hotel and its misleading AI information it would seem.Using photos of a private pool bar as being its own and a restaurant by the pool that’s not part of AI.A beach side bar named Dinkys that isn’t included in AI but listed as a facility of the hotel.Lastly a pool side snack bar that has limitations to what’s on offer if you’re AI and not a paying customer.As for the payment for the public pool sun beds let’s not go there and the Ibiza music on afternoons for a hotel with an age demograph of over 50 🤷🏼‍♂️ We’re risking it again too this year thinking changes might have been made but clearly not last season so why would they now 🤦🏼‍♂️I guess I can expect the automated response to this comment if you study all the previous hotel replies.Such a shame as this hotel has so much going for it.

Have been a loyal client here June or September for over 20 years always came back despite changes and cheffing issues We accepted the pool /sunbed scenario and were happy to be squashed into the garden to avoid paying the fees but I’m afraid the Dj playing Ibiza tunes all afternoon when people want to rest has ruined it for me even with my noise cancelling AirPods!it’s constant boom is just too much and unfortunately there is no where to escape it’s insistence So sadly won’t be returning next year

Been a guest of this hotel over many years with 3 different owners.There have been many changes over recent years mostly for the better.Ordinarily I would score this hotel 10/10 based on its quality ,cleanliness, friendliness and location and still would on those criteria.However we were unhappy about the charges for using sun beds around the spectacular pool and the access payment of those fees allowed - families and children and their use of the outside dining room.The adult only qualification is nullified.Sadly 8/10 on this years experience.

Lovely hotel but miss sold as all inclusive Miss sold as it’s not all inclusive, I can’t fault the food, the staff and how clean it is, but I’m sorry it’s miss sold as all inclusive. 1- there are 2 pools one is free to use sun beds but get there relatively early 8-10am. 2- Sun-beds at 2nd pool Pura beach are €15-30 euros each a day. Nothing is stated clearly on price on jet 2 or tui website just a * to say price but not how much. Cocktails are not all inclusive only selected few and also sports bar at sister hotel you can use is chargeable. Dinky cocktails bar NOT all inc as advertised as one of the bars, not seen ala carte restaurant also advertised disappointing on what is advertised. I upgraded to my favourite club garden view with pool that was lovely and has a room we could use by reception from 11-9 with food n alcohol worth the upgrade and room was fab. After speaking with Jet 2 they didn’t know half of this and I have to say were very helpful in upgrading the room. The staff at hotel are lovely as is S Algar n Menorca. A few days left of holiday but I’d say 5-6 days is enough . A transfer to Punta prima from hotel to beach is lovely and free. A lovely holiday so far just needs more clarification on things. I’d give it 10/10 but unfortunately a 6/7
