Hotel Loar Ferreries ★★★

"Loar has three kinds of accommodation - hotel/suites in one building and apartments and studios is the adjoining building. The buildings are seamless on he ground floor but separate lifts service the two buildings. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which has a balcony big enough for two chairs so great for looking at the comings and goings of locals and their families and what was going on in the square. The 12 apartments have outward facing balconies whereas the studios face the rear. I think it is worth the extra cost to have an apartment as we spent a fair amount of time just enjoying the atmosphere of the town. I don't know about the hotel rooms as we much prefer the space of an apartment and the flexibility to cook our own meals and snacks. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The highlight was the roof terrace with views, loungers, lovely pool and jacuzzi. There is also an indoor heated pool which was a bit awkward to access as unless the restaurant was open the only way in was via a spiral fire escape. Being able to choose which pool you fancied was a real treat and we mostly had the roof terrace to ourselves. The town itself had no real must-sees for tourists but it was a convenient base to explore the island. Although Loar does not offer parking we always found a space within a few minutes' walk. There are enough places to eat and drink with three decent sized supermarkets, a butcher and fishmonger if you wanted to cook. The apartment facilities made this easy. It is quite surprising to have such a large establishment in an inland town but it seemed quite busy and the bar & restaurant were popular. I certainly recommend Loar and Ferreries. Staying in a central town worked well for us. Don't hesitate to stop at a cheese producer, signposted everywhere. Mahon cheese is excellent."

"久しぶりにとてもリラックスした休暇を過ごすことができました。この静かなリゾートにはホテルが 2 つしかありません。Tirant Playa ホテルは 2 階建ての宿泊施設で、すべてのアパートメントからは入り江の美しい景色が望めます。日中は太陽が輝き、夕方には沈む太陽が丘の向こうに美しい輝きを添えます。ビーチは浅瀬が長く続く楽しい場所で、入り江を歩くとカメが日光浴をしているのが見られます。歩き続けると、島を一周するウォーキング ルート、Cami de Cavalls の一部に着きます。素敵なアパートメントに戻ると、驚くほど大きなプールがあり、ピカピカに清潔なレストランでは飲み物や食事を提供しており、素敵なスタッフが接客しています。どんなことでも快く対応してくれました。彼らの前向きな姿勢が気に入りました。同様に、受付のスタッフはあらゆるリクエストに応えてくれました。私たちはリラックスして、大切にされていると感じました。そして最後に、部屋は清潔で、1 日おきに新しいタオルが交換され、素敵なビーチ タオルも用意されていました。キッチンには新しい電子レンジとコンロが完備されていました。キッチン用品、衣類、小物類を収納できるスペースがたくさんありました。トゥットからフォルネルスまでは徒歩 30 ～ 40 分です。フォルネルスは、素敵なレストランが立ち並ぶ小さな港町で、島の大きな町に行くにはバスが時間通りに運行しています。TRH ティラント プラヤは本当に気に入りました。また来るのが待ちきれません。"

"our children have bought a voucher for a menù degustaciòn & cata de vino to celebrate our 40th anniversary of wedding. Upon our arrival we asked what the menu was including in terms of wine and the waitress told us with nonchalance that we could take a bottle of wine. We have chosen one of your Torralbenc white wines, which honestly speaking was not what we expected from a location and wine maker such as you're supposed to be. On top of that, boh waitresses had major difficulties explaining every dish course which made the experience even more difficult. We must say that this experience was rather disappointing both in terms of food and wine. Nobody told us that we paid a surcharge to taste more than only one wine - at least the experience could have been a bit more exciting. Anyhow, be sure that we will not recommend your location."

"Hotel m27 was the best stay of our most recent trip to Europe. The location was exactly what we were looking for - perfectly situated to all parts of the island and within a walkable town that was not overly touristy. The hotel and room were very clean & comfortable- with a well stocked fridge of amazing wines and snacks which was welcomed after a long day of travel. We were in a front room during the busy season and had no sign of road noise. The property was very peaceful. Last but not least, we cannot say enough about Vicent. He was a wonderful, helpful and kind host. And the breakfast was incredible - there was a great selection, it was fresh and delicious. Even after we had moved on to our next destination we wished Vicent was there to make those delightful breakfast toasts. We would not stay anywhere else in Menorca!"
