We had the most fabulous week in January at this truly top notch hotel, literally everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to every interaction with every staff member. Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings, well equipped and spacious room with incredible views. And the food and wine …. wow! Every single meal was amazing like a 5 star restaurant with impeccable service. The attention to detail with every aspect of this hotel shines through. We’ll be coming back next year for sure. Our stay in BergHotel was beyond our expectations. The hotel is distinguished by its remarkable and cosy design, as well as its ideal position and breathtaking view of the mountains. The hotel was full of amazing details in every part of it. We simply enjoyed to spend relaxing time in every corner of the hotel. The service is of a excellent standard, and the employees are quite pleasant and kind. I especially loved the moment of seeing dogs at the hotel, it was a very enjoyable moment for us and the kids. We will certainly will come back at Berg hotel and spend another wonderful holiday.

It's our 3rd time that we stayed at Berghotel and each time was better. They pay attention to every little thing, staff are friendly, professional and making your stay comfortable. Spa area with sauna programs from Ricardo is really great. Enjoying in a heated outdoor pool, surrounded by snow and with the view of the mountains is like from the catalogue! We've been in many great ski hotels in Italy or Austria, like Alpine Palace in Saalbach or Lac Salin in Livigno but I still prefer Berghotel! They use local ingredients at meals and the hotel smells heavenly of local pine wood. If you're skiing, just put on your skis and you're on the lift! Hope to come back next year!

We have been coming to this hotel more then 10 years. We always have good memories from here. In short, nice, cozy, warm, wonderful ambience, friendly staff, excellent food, great wellness, beautiful view, ski in ski out. What can we say, our friends and we feel comfortable here as at home.

We loved everything about the Berghotel from the wonderful views, helpful staff and the amazing food we enjoyed at each and every meal. The ability to hike right from the property with advice from the staff, as well as the hotel providing hiking poles and a backpack made our stay fantastic!

This is an AMAZING hotel because: 1. Super friendly staff. Sarah at reception was particularly helpful in helping us organise our 3 Peaks walk. 2. Wonderful rooms. Lots of space with mountain view ( we recommend rm 111). 3. Fantastic food. We did half board which covers breakfast and evening meal. 4. Complimentary afternoon strudel plus other sweet delights are great. 5. Lovely pool ( we particularly like the outdoor pool with mountains in the background). 6. Lots of activities, by yourself or Berg organised weekly activities. We recommend the ride from San Candido to Lienz ( No ebike needed as easy ride), the ride from San Candido to Lake Di Braies ( ebike essential) and the walk down from the 3 Peaks ( we found this tough, but amazing views ). For the rides, we hired from Papin Sports, next to San Candido train station. Good as provides free parking. 7. Free undercover parking and washing facilities are a bonus. We have stayed at the Berg in ski season and non ski season. Both FABULOUS. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at The Berghotel in July for her 30th birthday. We stayed in many parts of Europe over the course of this trip but the experience at The Berghotel was by far the best out of all of our stays. Before we even arrived, the communication and hospitality of the staff was world class. They accommodated every request and made us feel so comfortable as we prepared to hike the beautiful Dolomite mountains. During our stay everyone was extremely kind and hospitable. Our room was very clean and the views were breathtaking. We enjoyed a day at the spa, got massages, the rooftop pool, meals at the restaurant, and drinks at the bar. Every minute was extraordinary and we cannot wait to come back. 5 Star experience and such a luxurious hotel. Highly recommend.

This hotel is extremely overrated. It is decent but definitely not the perfection that the internet scores try to make you believe. It is also extremely out of the way and you need a car or public transport for any type of convenience. Probably the least helpful front desk that we have encountered in the many years of travel and we really do not look for super friendly or attentive receptionists, we just want to be provided proper info. They have pretty much lied to us twice: Once to say that they don’t provide kids bathrobes, they definitely do as we have seen many kids wearing those and once when they said that they will give us a reduced dinner price and then they didn’t and charged us the high rate. Is it bad intentions? Probably not and I guess was due to incompetency. In any case, it was rather annoying. I really don’t think we will be back nor recommend to anyone especially considering the many options in the area. I would like to be fair and will still give them a 4 star, more like a 7/10 scoring.

Magical place with awesome views and friendly staff. The hotel is located on the side of Mount Elmo with breathtaking views. Close to local attractions such as Alpinisteig and Tre Chime. Beautifully built, clean and friendly. Food is superb. Lots of games for children and a peerless wellness area with seven saunas and several indoor and outdoor pools. Not cheap but totally worth it.
