The reviews here all looked very nice, but sadly this was not the experience we had. On arrival we were greeted by a very nice man who welcomed us in, we were offered a bigger room which we gratefully accepted. He explained the bar was closed at 4pm due to staff issues, but would reopened the next day. We didn’t anticipate any issues until we used the room. Later that evening we found there was no soap or shower gel in the bottles, the towel rail was falling off and the bedside lights didn’t work. When coming to close the curtains we realised it didn’t fit the window and the shutter did not work. We had been given a what’s app number but it felt too late to text. The next morning we explained the situation and this was understood and maintenance would look at this. Later that day we were told the shutter did not work (it wasn’t actually there) and one curtain had disappeared but they didn’t know where it had gone - there was no solution just another night of bright lights! The one curtain was actually not all clipped on to the rail and maintenance just left it like this. Breakfast provided was croissants and a coffee and there was 2 coffee capsules and 2 bottles of water provided for our 2 day stay. The next day the bar closed again at 4pm, so we were unable to get a drink, food etc as advertised and again no one was on site. We were looking forward to using the roof terrace as described on your website and we sat outside for a while when we first arrived. The area was pleasant to sit in the sun, but the condition and cleanliness was poor. Having looked back at the management photos you could see the aspirations this has but it did not live up to the value, or expectation of the hotel - this was more like an air b and b room being run from a bar/nightclub. The place lacked care and needed some TLC.
