I got in very late and stayed at this hotel for the proximity to the airport. The person hat checked me in was very nice and helpful. The person on night 2 of my stay was different. The second night I stayed here, I came out of my room at 3:45 AM to grab water from downstairs before going to exercise. There was a gentleman (not a hotel guest) ”hanging out” with his sleeping supplies and a woman trying to get into the bathroom. I realized the man at the front desk (a different gentleman from the first night) was definitely aware these people were not guests in the hotel as he casually gave her the code. I do not know if there is an agreement in place or this hotel uses some of their rooms that accommodate those other than paying guests. I felt very uneasy and not safe, particularly when one person started to join me in the elevator at 3:45 am. It is important to ensure their paying guests don't come out of their room to strange folks wondering on their floor. As a smaller female who travels a lot, I try to be very careful not to put myself in situations that could go south. I sent Marriott a message, but I received NO response. Also, I asked for a wake-up call both nights when I went upstairs. I was very tired and slept through my cell phone wake-up. I never received one from the hotel. I did not realize until the next day, there was no phone in my room, which was very strange. I will not stay at this Marriott property again for the first reason.
Amazing stay! Not only did we get a room upgrade, we also got help with charging our iPhones. We felt like our suite was at condo level of amenities and space. Also, we appreciated the free airport shuttle to and from the airport. Will definitely stay here again in the future and recommend others to do the same
We had made arrangements with a nearby hotel to check in at 1:00 the day of our arrival because we had an afternoon wedding in Omaha and needed to get ready. However, the receptionist there wasn’t very cooperative. So we showed up at holiday Inn and asked if they could accommodate us. The receptionist was very accommodating and did everything she could to help. We got into a room quickly, and made it to the church on time. We paid about $50 more for the night than we would have, but it was worth it. The only thing I didn’t care for was the smell of chlorine when we walked in. They do have a pool but an overwhelming smell like that usually means it’s not cool enough in the room or very well ventilated. But that was the only thing I noticed. Everything else was very nice.
The first floor rooms smell, like a wet musky odor, not sure if there is mold in the rooms. The pool might be the cause but smell was terrible. Also the AC was stuck at 70, we tried to lower it and could not.
MMegan HI have to say, I was pretty disappointed in this Hampton after reading all of the great reviews and seeing the trip advisor choice award 2024 as well. Our room was fairly clean, but things were missed like the countertop of the wet bar, etc. We booked a suite room to sleep my family if 6. We had to go back down to the front desk for bedding for the sleeper sofa after even confirming at check in that there was indeed bedding in the room…there was not. The phone did not work which I tried to use to call about the missing bedding. The towels were also paper thin (could really use replacing) and again we were only given 3 towels and two wash cloths in a room that sleeps 6. When you book a larger room at a higher rate and state that the number of guests is 6, it is honestly expected that the proper amenities are in the room or at least given to you at check in. Having to continue to ask and hunt down what is needed is not good hospitality in my opinion. The breakfast was really not good either (there were very few options and what was offered looked as though it had been sitting there for days…tasted as such as well. The eating area was also not being serviced. Every table was dirty as they were not wiping them down between guests. Lastly, the overall experience from the employees was lackluster. No one greeted us when we walked by the front desk at any time. If we needed something, we had to get their attention. There were no, “good mornings or welcomes” Heads were always down at the desk/computer. I think Hamptons in general have gone down hill especially for the price. If we are in the area again, we will be staying elsewhere.
I traveled here with my 2 small children. I’m going to write my review based on what I wish I knew prior to booking this hotel for a family weekend. At check-in, I was told no information - nothing about breakfast, pool, fitness room, nothing. I’m a diamond member and normally receive some water at check-in but the gal checking me in literally gave me my room keys and that was it. Breakfast is a joke. $8 for a continental breakfast for kids 10 and under. If you have children, you know they barely eat, so $8 for a bowl of cereal. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, literally anyone else and get a continental breakfast for free. Even the buffet for adults is $15, but included eggs, nasty potatoes and meat. Again, other hotels offer this for free. The rooms where nice and clean. The people above us were very loud, not really the hotels fault but I’ve been other hotels were sound proofing is better. There is no hot tub so when you take your kids swimming, you’ll be forced to go in the actual pool. And it’s pretty small at that. When returning to Omaha, I will stay elsewhere.
TTammiC318We travel a lot and stay in many different types of hotels. This one quickly became a favorite at the top of our list!! Our room was very quiet and comfortable, allowing us to relax after long busy days. Hotel is very clean and comfy. Food and drinks are excellent!! We were warmly greeted upon arrival by check-in staff. Bar and restaurant staff are top-notch. Sabrina in the restaurant is very friendly and accommodating. The valet staff are excellent!! Amayeli, Solomon and Alex did a great job retrieving our car very quickly every time we needed it. The unique decor of the hotel is very intriguing and inviting. Hotel is in a great location with a lot of interesting things to see within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel!!
SSheila PI am impressed with the bed in the pillows. The pillows are very comfortable and some hotels give you those skinny ones these are nice and firm and fat and comfortable. I do have a problem with the $100 incidental charge it takes forever to get back on your credit card. I can understand this charge especially for new guests but I am a rewards member and I am a very frequent traveler who stays with choice hotels all the time and sometimes it's not worth the hassle to go through with that.
