ホライゾン・サウス(Horizon South)

This is supposed to be a gated community, but the gates remained open the entire time we were there and there was no one in the security office. Anyone can come and go. They charge $25 for a parking permit. The majority of cars parked there did not have permits yet none were ticketed or booted or towed. During our stay someone drove through the grass and broke a water main. This resulted in our water being cut off for 14 hours. We had no indoor plumbing from 10 am until midnight. That goes beyond inconvenient.

I stayed at this resort for 6 nights with my pups and my daughter who lives in Atlanta stayed for 3. This place is very nice inside and out. The folks around are kind and friendly. I paid extra and brought my two pups who loved it here immediately. While I wasn’t impressed at the beach itself, this resort is great!!! I’d highly recommend! The pools and hot tub were very clean and great and the hours are good! Security is around and available which is also a good feeling of extra safety! It’s also gated with private codes and very very close to the beach!

We went to Panama City as a family for a softball tournament. We stayed in Unit 77a at Horizon South. The unit was clean, family friendly and the owner was very nice and responsive. The quick walk to the beach and the pools were really nice. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

This place is terrible. I have stayed on Disney properties as well as many other resorts in the USA and abroad. I have never, every seen anything like this. The security follows you into your "condo" parking and actually walks up to make sure you have a a resort parking pass. Once you've paid the condo owner the rental fee and additional cleaning fee, you are instructed that each individual, including children, myst obtain a wristband at $25 each for the use of the resort (there were 10 of us) plus $25 per car. Using the term "resort" is a joke for this place. If you use the pool, be prepared to be harassed by security once an hour to show your wristband. also, 6 year old grandson lost his wristband, had a tan where wristband had been worn, had photos of child with wristband on earlier in the day, had been at pool for 3 days prior. They wouldn't replace the lost wristband unless we paid an additional $25 for him to swim or we had to leave. They have a notebook documenting the purchase of the bands, indicating how many your purchased and which condo you are using. Ridiculous! Also, Charles, current HOA President, needs to get a job. He spends way too much time worrying about who might be using the "resort". I can assure you the photos shown in the listing are a far cry from reality......Save your money and don't stay here. They act like it's the Ritz Carlton but in reality its a dump.

Complex is horrible! We rented a 2/2 for 5 nights. We also rented a golf cart to use while here. The first 3 nights of our stay, no issues! The 4th night, they attempted to tow it because they apparently don’t allow rental golf carts! Don’t stay!
