🌿 Great Emotional Value, Though Some Details Need Improvement I recently stayed at La Mere Ancienne in Guiyang. Overall, it was a warm experience, but there were some ups and downs. The Highlights: The ”Emotional Value” here is excellent. The nine-grid breakfast was both beautiful and delicious, especially the authentic beef rice noodles. Since it wasn't crowded, the waiter spent a lot of time chatting with the elderly members of our family, sharing many interesting fun facts, which made them very happy. We also received a beautiful tie-dye silk scarf as a parting gift. Later on, the staff was patient enough to upgrade our room, and the Yao herbal bath was perfect for removing all our fatigue. The Downsides: However, the check-in process left something to be desired. Although the room features a private herbal bath, the staff didn't proactively offer or deliver the herbs until we asked. Additionally, we were told that the afternoon snacks were already sold out when we arrived. Summary: While the initial service was a bit passive, the subsequent hospitality and the unique atmosphere made up for it. A solid choice, but I hope they can improve their proactiveness during check-in!

Very beautiful and classy homestay - I would even call it a boutique hotel. Rooms and common spaces incorporate local minority theemed design elements, which I felt greately added to the atmosphere. My room was spacious, impeccably clean without any hint of cigarette smell. Excellent hot shower, nice towels (though hotel does provide disposable ones). Overall, the room had everything, aside from luggage rack and hand/body lotion. My second floor room looked out to the courtyard, beautiful arch and mountains at a distance. I imagine top-floor rooms having even better views, but they didn't have any availability though I would have loved to stay there. Location was perfect - 5 min walk to Xiaoqikong park entrance. Finally, SUPERB staff. Customer service is on top - free transportation to the train station, greetings with fresh fruit platter, ginger tea to cool off under getting caught in the rain, etc. Separate thanks to Echo who has good command of English and was there to answer any questions, address all my concerns, walk(!) me to the best restaurant in town, and give me rubber slippers while my shoes were drying! Aside from making sure that my stay was perfect, she also served as sort of ambassador into the Guizhou minority culture and shared with me her deep knowledge and love for their history and way of life. Highly highly recommended!

全体的にサービスが素晴らしく、スタッフの方々はとても親切でした。貴陽到着後、レンタカーを借りてドライブしようと考えていたのですが、バトラーの方が前日にお電話くださり、新幹線の方が速いこと、そして駅まで迎えに来てくださると教えてくれました。翌日、私たちがまだ駅に着かないうちに、バトラーの方から電話があり、既に出口で待っていると連絡がありました。私たちを出迎えると、親切に荷物を持って部屋まで案内してくれました。とても安心して利用できるサービスでした。 宿の裏山にはプールがあり、無料の民族衣装も用意されていて、写真撮影にぴったりです。特に強調したいのは、宿のレストランの食事がとても美味しかったことです。特に鶏スープは絶品でした。（ここ、ぜひ忠告を聞いてください！私たちは到着してすぐ屋台街で食事をしたのですが、翌朝しばらく胃がムカムカしてしまいました。もちろん、私たちが行ったお店が悪かったのかもしれませんが、鸞禧（らんき）さんのレストランは本当に食材が新鮮で、私も口コミを見て試してみたのですが、期待以上の美味しさに驚きました。）外食に出かける手間も省けて、時間の節約にもなりました。 その他には、毎日提供される瑶族（ヤオ族）の薬草足湯が最高でした。夜には、バトラーの男性スタッフが温かい薬草足湯を部屋まで持ってきてくれ、さらに暑気払いになる緑豆スープも付いてきました。これがとても美味しくて（遠慮がなければもう一杯お願いしたかったです）。最後、出発の際もバトラーの方が駅まで送ってくださり、まるで大人なのに子供のように甘やかされているようでした。また貴州を訪れる際は、必ずここに泊まりたいと思います！

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Location central. Quite comfortable. Bathroom sink was leaking, though room is clean. Public area doesn't seem used much these days, doesn't serve drinks, no one playing music.

We stayed at Libo Yunyi Xiaoqi Homestay for 3 nights in April, 2024. The manageress, LuoDanDan , is very helpful, caring and professional. As we do not speak Mandarin, she offered to set up a WeChat connection with our mobile so that we can communicate with ease. She serves simple breakfast and even cooked dinner for us at our request. The Homestay and our room is very new, modern, clean and safe and is within walking distance to the eastgate of the Xiaoqikong Scenic Park ( which would need 2 days to cover all sites ). The small town itself is still new with many construction activities going on and the restaurants serve mainly spicy food and hotpots. Well worth a short visit and Xiaoqikong is very beautiful with many amazing waterfalls and a photographer's paradise.

This is a very cosy place and is located very near the East gate of the Xiaoqikong scenic area. The man at the reception is very helpful and also carried our luggage up to the room located on the third level. Transport to and from the East gate is provided by the hotel. The hotel also provides drop off service to the Libo train station. Breakfast is homely and delicious, I really like the noodles.

I book the queen room and found that the family room is even bigger than the queen with an additional bed for the same price. The only difference is that the family room is beside the lift and may be quite noisy. The other thing is regarding technical issue with the TV. I suddenly could not be connected to the channels and requested for assistance. They told me that one of the connector is loosen and just need to fix properly. Maybe the hotel can look at this so that this technical issues do not cause inconvenience to the guests. The staff who came to help out with the technical problem is very courteous and helpful. I couldn't have asked for better. I was astonished by the service, cleanliness, friendliness, and treatment. All of this at an incredibly low price. Communicating can be a bit complicated if you don't speak Chinese, as almost no one in this region speaks English. Fortunately, I had someone with me who could. The lovely lady treated us like her own grandchildren and insisted that we eat with her, letting us try typical local dishes. I truly felt at home. As for the service itself, I was even more surprised. We stayed for two nights, and every day they cleaned the room, changed the towels, provided slippers, a new toothbrush, and a bottle of water. In the evening, she insisted on giving us fruit. Regarding the location, it's very convenient, as it's just a 10-minute walk from the bus stop that takes you to the main attractions and also to the train station. As a foreign tourist, I highly recommend it!

這次入住的酒店真的超出預期！剛到門口就被前台小姐姐的熱情感染，主動詢問是否到店，會提前給我説交通方式，還耐心介紹周邊的美食和遊玩路線，全程笑容滿面，讓人瞬間有了回家的温暖。酒店位置特別便利，步行幾分鐘就能到地鐵站，附近有個小集市，小吃街一應俱全，出行吃飯超級方便。房間更是乾淨到讓人驚喜，床單被褥潔白無異味，衞生間一塵不染，連角落都收拾得乾乾淨淨。性價比超高，下次夏天來荔波，一定還選這裏！

We stayed here for a few nights. Overall, it was a positive experience. Check-in: Smooth and easy. We were greeted warmly, and upon arrival, our room was upgraded — a nice bonus. Room: Clean, with good-quality bedding. The room had everything we needed: air conditioning, towels, toiletries, bottled water, and a projector. Housekeeping was done daily and wasn't intrusive — we could stay in the room if we wanted. When we arrived, the weather was cold outside, so we slept under two blankets — it was warm enough. Hot water was sufficient for two people as long as we didn't shower for too long. Location: Very convenient — just a few minutes' walk to the East Gate of Xiaoqikong Scenic Area and the bus stop. Plenty of places to eat, grab a drink, and buy daily necessities are nearby. Noise level: We slept really well — it was quiet and peaceful, with only birdsong in the morning. There was construction going on near the hotel during our stay, but it wasn't disruptive at all; no noise in the morning or evening. Drawbacks: · There was a strong smell of cigarettes in the room. If you're sensitive to smoke, it's worth asking for a non-smoking room when booking. · Although the room was clean, it was clear that the hotel is a bit older — not brand new, but still well-maintained. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, budget-friendly option with a great location for visiting Xiaoqikong, this is a solid choice. We were happy with our stay.
