We stayed end of May 2026 in this hotel.Excellent location, at one of the highest points of the village Pingan. Therefore, a spectacular view on the rice terraces either from our room or from the terrace one floor below which is accessible for all hotel guests. We were in the “Caledone” room with a sensational view on two sides. The dinner was very good as well as the breakfast. The manager Tony was very helpful not only due to his English speaking but also due his professional support in any problems or questions. The WIFI is for Chinese standards good. There is a free transport with a car, belonging to the hotel, from the parking lot at the entrance to the village to a place close to the hotel. We liked to stay in the hotel with its charme and will go back next time we are in Pingan.

We had a great experience at Annland! We arrived and the staff were super communicable. They picked us up at the centre of town and welcomed us with some tea while we checked in. The receptionist gave us the run down of different walking paths around and we were blown away by the view! You can't beat this location - it's truly stunning, just like the pictures. The staff were super attentive, down to providing us with mosquito spray before we went out for a walk. We had afternoon tea, dinner, and breakfast at the hotel, which were all delicious, simple, home cooked meals :) The room itself had a beautiful view and was clean and comfortable. They offered us some nice tea and snacks in the room as well. I highly recommend this place!

LOCATION: Trip.com showed this stay as very close to the cable-car (Jinkeng terrace). That was the main reason for us to choose this place. But, on arrival, we found that this accommodation is about ~19 km far from the cable car station. So, it was an accidental choice for us. Nevertheless, this gave us an opportunity to enjoy this stay – free from hustle-bustle, no regrets. We realized the serenity of this place after visiting Dazhai! 😊 TRAVEL: Foreigners with family and kids. We traveled to the Longji Terraces from Yangshuo by 13:30 bus. It took us about 4 hours. Although we booked the ticket to Dazhai (last stop), we got off the bus at the Jinzhu intersection. The driver knows the hotel and its staff. I did reach out to Ms. Liao Yanzhen (aka Jane) through WeChat (same number as in Trip.com) before starting the journey. She informed the bus driver about us & it helped us a lot. ACCOMMODATION: It is located uphill from the Jinzhu intersection – about 15-minute walk. Since we had luggage, Ms. Jane arranged for a car to carry all our luggage to/from the stay. ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Depending on the room type, a balcony view helps. I had the valley view, which was very nice early in the morning. The room is built on a treehouse concept with modern bath and restroom facilities. It had a kettle, WiFi, etc., all that comes with a standard reservation. FOOD: Received the menu available and the price per item through WeChat. The common dining area is spacious. Food portions were large and tasty! For the hotel location, the cost is reasonable. STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to make your stay comfortable. We managed all our interactions through the translator app. They surprised the kids with popcorn! During our stay, we played cards after dinner for a few hours in the common area, and the staff were kind enough to help us with table and chairs. Also, on the last day, they showed us their traditional way of preparing food and the ingredients. ONLY SUGGESTION to the hotel: please address the door noise. It is too loud and annoying for occupants as well as neighbors.

A beautiful hotel with incredible views of the rice terraces. We were given a room upgrade and stayed in a huge, spacious suite with a walk-in wardrobe, panoramic windows almost all around the room, and a large terrace with stunning views. We loved everything about our stay, and the hotel staff were very friendly.

Everything was amazing. We opted to upgrade our room when we got there for a higher floor. The view was really nice (when there was no fog). The man who ran the hotel also spoke good English meaning he could explain routes to us. Hotel was also located close to the gate meant convenient access to the transportation in and out of the park. Rooms were also very spacious and the hotel provided for everything that was needed. Only drawback I would say is the lack of an elevator. Meaning if you’re on the fourth floor like we were, it was a hike up and down everyday.

The hotel’s biggest strengths are undoubtedly the fantastic views of the Longji Rice Terraces and the very friendly and attentive staff. The rooms are also spacious and generously sized. Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. The biggest concern was the discrepancy between the hotel description and the actual conditions. We specifically booked a non-smoking room. The hotel description states that there are non-smoking public areas, designated smoking areas and non-smoking rooms. In reality, smoking appears to be permitted throughout the hotel. This resulted in significant cigarette odours, including unpleasant smells reaching our room. The hotel is also advertised as having a 24-hour reception. However, when our neighbours were having a very loud party at around 1:30 a.m., smoking in the corridor and creating considerable noise, we contacted reception but received no response. Based on our experience, the reception was therefore not staffed 24 hours a day. The advertised fitness room was another disappointment. There is indeed a photo of it online, so guests can see the area beforehand. However, in reality, it consists of two treadmills that were not connected and could not be used due to the lack of power outlets, as well as another basic piece of exercise equipment. The entire area was heavily overgrown and poorly maintained. The small children's playground was in a similarly neglected condition, with significant vegetation and green growth covering the equipment. We also found that the towels had a musty smell, and there were unpleasant odours coming from the toilet and drainage system. The breakfast was also disappointing. It consisted of a classic Chinese breakfast with no buffet, and the selection was quite limited. In addition, coffee, water and other drinks were not included and had to be purchased separately. For a hotel advertised as four-star, we found this rather disappointing. There is also a fish pond which, according to the hotel description, appears to be an attraction where guests can catch or feed fish. During our stay, however, we did not see any live fish there — only one dead fish. Overall, we had the impression that several facilities are listed in the hotel description, but their actual condition or usability does not correspond to what we would reasonably expect. The location, spectacular views and genuinely friendly staff are definitely the highlights of this hotel. However, considering the maintenance, cleanliness, smoking situation, non-functional facilities and the discrepancies between the advertised services and what is actually provided, we would personally rate this hotel closer to a three-star experience rather than a four-star hotel. The hotel has a lot of potential, but considerably more attention to maintenance, cleanliness, accurate information and the actual usability of the advertised facilities would be needed to justify a four-star experience in our opinion.

Beautifull views, We enjoyed the vegetarian meal provided by the hotel to us. Tourguide arranged by the hotel to walk thru the farmers path. Pickup at the Daizhai parking lot by the hotel. Also our luggage was taken by the hotel to a safe place at the Daizhai parking lot by the hotel while we were walking around the different viewing points
