ポウサダ デ ポルトマリン(Pousada de Portomarin)

A really nice old-style hotel with charming staff. Lovely food in the restaurant. Great place to stay for any Camino traveller. I didn't want to leave the next morning. Also, I can only compliment the receptionist who helped me out when my room-key stopped working. She was so attentive and nothing was a problem.

Spent one night on a camino trip. Very dated hotel very 1970s. Room was clean but bathroom had tiles missing and looked jaded. Beds were comfortable. Went to dining room as we were having a set meal prepared. We arrived at dining room and told to wait till 7. Which we did. We had made a reservation at desk but they couldn't find it. They never asked our name so we were seated. Head manager was attentive and gave us our menu. We asked which menu was for us they gave us main menu. We ordered and had delicious meal. When we finished we told them our room number. It turned out hotel gave us different room than was scheduled. We should not have had main menu. The manager went bananas with the staff. We offered to pay but it was his mistake. I felt sorry for junior waiter. If manager had asked our names in first place he would have realised his mistake. It was an embarrassing for us all.

The hotel was fine - really decent sized rooms but overall it was a little tired, the bathroom could definitely do with a refurb. The food in the restaurant though was excellent. After a long day walking, the pilgrim's menu was excellent and the staff there were really helpful and friendly!

This was a well-located, quaint hotel with very nicely furnished rooms and good food. I had a restful experience here and they were very helpful at both the reception and the restaurant in catering to small requests. Would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Beautiful older hotel. It was very nice and clean and very spacious! Within walking distance to some great restaurants. After I looked at the pictures on this website, I realized they had a sauna and a pool !

This was one of the larger hotels in Portomarin & indeed one of the largest hotels we stayed in whilst walking the Camino. Not all guests were walking the Camino, other guests used it as a vacation base to explore the surrounding area. Check in was easy, our room was spacious and our bathroom had a bath as well as a shower, which is a bonus when walking the Camino. Dinner was good, we also ordered off menu some octopus which was nice. Breakfast was a bit of a banquet which we devoured with glee.

This is a big, old hotel that is in need of refurbishing. There was no heat in the rooms. The bathtub/shower was gross looking so I didn't use it, the drapes were damaged etc. No lights on in interior corridors. And the restaurant service was poor. Food so-so.

Great hotel in a good location. We stayed here for one night. The rooms are spacious with all the necessary amenities. The shower is excellent. The service both in the bar and restaurant is excellent and a special mention to Fabi and Roni who looked after us The dinner was excellent and the breakfast good. We would stay here again

The hotel entrance is beautiful with the marble staircase. The dining room is also very pretty and the food is very good. We ate here for dinner and breakfast and were quite happy. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, meats and cheeses. There is also a nice outside dining area. The room opposite the dining room had a foot massager - something that might be handy for those walking the Camino. The pool is rather large and there is a fairly large grassy area. The room itself was fine. The bed was not as firm, but good enough. There is no AC and so we kept the window/door open all night - which kept the room nice and cool. There was plenty of counter space near the sink, a tub with shower and a bidet. The room had a table and a closet in a foyer type of area.
