Lovely little hotel in beautiful surrounding. Fro sham is a lovely place and the staff were excellent. Really enjoyed my stay!

Brilliant location on Ollerton Hill with views over the river mersey and ship canal .10 min walk into Frodsham The spa facilities are really good and the restaurant was reasonably priced

Love the location and peacefulness of this hotel. Rooms are big and quiet, bonus if a pool and gym. Stayed twice here and would return.

There needs to be more food choice. Maintence IE change or repairs to doors or radiators should not be carried whilst guests are relaxing, working or having a late sleep in. On 2 occasions maintence staff worked for several hours ruining my stay. Very very noisey.

We got to check out 45 mins early. We politely said we were early and the receptionist said no you can’t check in, you can use the spa or bar. We opted for the bar/restaurant as it looked over the estuary towards Runcorn old bridge and the new express way. We weren’t allowed to and that they had a wedding on with seating at the upper tier as well as a room of their own with another bar. We ended sitting on a little table away from the scenic view. The person who served us at the bar wasn’t exactly welcoming, and seemed to busy with the wedding elsewhere than to serve our drinks. We did meet the deputy manager who as actually lovely and had a chat. The bar staff that severed later on were also an asset too. The restaurant menu was very limited so we opted for a takeaway. The room was a disappointment as we had booked an executive room. There was no complimentary bottles of water or anything that made you feel special for the extra price. I looked into another room on the way out which was smaller. Housekeeping said you do get an iron in our room but not standard 😂. The room could do with modernising and had a twin shower but fittings were not to a high standard. Extendable mirror was missing a screw from the bottom. Random sticking out thing?? Big cracks in ceiling in bathroom. Light fitting hanging out over entrance in room. dimmer switch dial missing. £96.75 for the night. We won’t be returning or recommending!

Hotel was clean. Front desk, restaurant and leisure club staff were all pleasant. Room was spacious. Beds comfy. Huge TV. Was offered late check out which was nice. Pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room were all more than adequate. Location was good we went to Delamere Forrest and Eastham promenade. There are fresh water fountains and lemon water that guests can help themselves to which I thought was a nice touch. The view from the restaurant is pretty cool too. Good value for money. Unfortunately the family next door to our room were quite noisy but wasn't the hotels fault and didn't stop us getting a good sleep in the comfy beds. Only real issue was getting my car in/out of the carpark as there are some big pot holes at the entrance that you can't avoid. But it's to be expected coming in off the country roads. Still this hotel and the staff deserve 5 stars. Myself and my family all enjoyed our stay and found ourselves debating whether this hotel should be upgraded to a 4 star property. I'd stay here again.

Nice hotel overlooking the river. Rather 1980's vib to the hotel but well maintained and clean. Nice pool facilities, again rather dated in design, but very serviceable. Very popular with parents and children. If you want to swim lengths probably book an early slot in the morning. Note you need to book a slot at the leisure facilities reception - I assume this is to avoid overcrowding. Also the lockers don't have locks but can be secured with a padlock if you bring one. Food in the restaurant was also good.

Staff were great, evening food was good. Our bathroom had a not nice smell. The restaurant tables and reception furniture are worn out / looked dirty. Used to get water and fruit in more expensive rooms, that's gone. Needs a refurb.

Stayed here with my friend as a birthday treat. Staff were lovely. Hotel is very dated, but clean. Beds were comfy, though room was small. Staff put a candle in my dessert and wished me happy birthday. Food was lovely and of a good standard/price. Jacuzzi was warm and soothing. Pool amenities and changing very dated and not in great condition. For the price, it was a nice stay and would go again 👍
