Imposing building approached through a gateway holding the reception office. Friendly receptionist on first arrival spoke good English, the staff on departure was not so customer friendly. Of course there is no lift and my room was on the second floor up 53 stairs. Good sized room with a very creaky floor and 2 single beds. Wi-Fi was intermittent which was frustrating. Empty minibar. Newish bathroom. Robes provided for use in the wellness centre ( I did not utilise). Water was hot, after a long wait. There was a heated towel rail. Service in the restaurant was rushed, I felt they were trying to get people through as fast as possible! I was half board ( not a fan) with poor choice of meat, pasta, or salad. Dessert was not very nice cake. I would have liked to sit on the terrace for a pre dinner drink but it was very windy.
