クーク ホテル リッチモンド(Quirk Hotel Richmond)

We stay here for my son’s orientation at VCU and love it. The hotel is very clean & artsy. Services by reception & restaurant staff were great. Our room on the 6th floor was very nice: clean, roomy with high ceiling. Would stay here again if we come back in town in the future.

The room door deadbolt was broken. There was no cell service in the room so I had to go outside to check text messages and to make calls. The staff told me that even they have poor or no reception. They now do valet by cell phone which is ridiculous because you have to go outside to request your car. I have stayed at the Quirk about 5 times when I am in Richmond on business but never again

Definitely a different hotel in the best possible way. Very good food. Pleasing to the eye. Interesting neighborhood.

This is my second time staying here. Nice place but showing some minor signs of wear/tear. My main issue is the climate control in the room. Not sure if it's just an old, warm building but I could not get my room to be any cooler. Was way too hot. I kept trying to adjust the thermostat but it didn't seem to do much.

Quirk had a fun, upscale vibe without taking itself too seriously. There were small details that showed the care put into providing excellent service - from a glass of Prosecco to welcome us to well placed and eclectic art. Service was good and the cocktails in the hotel bar were great. Will keep this on our list for future visits!

Linens were not ready when we arrived. We waited 1.5 hours for a room. It was very frustrating as we had plans and couldn’t clean up or even change in our room. We had the pleasure of changing in a public bathroom but still got to pay for a full nights stay.

I thought the hotel was charming and unique, and very aptly named. The staff were very kind and helpful.

We loved our stay at The Quirk. The decor is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and everyone was lovely. The location could not have been more perfect for our purposes. We were able to walk most everywhere that we needed to be in Richmond. My only complaint is that there seemed to be some confusion over the times that food was served in the restaurant. We got a late start on our first morning but the information I was given said breakfast until 11 but at 10:30 everything was closed. We were directed across the street to a great little coffee shop called Lift so we ended up just going there every morning.

The Quirk is beautiful. Our room was spatious and well designed. It was unfortunate that our room did not have blackout curtains and was east facing. The heater sounded like a Cesna. Great space to hang out, horrible for sleeping.
