Wonderful trip for relaxing. Room was better than most, quite large and comfortable. Breakfast daily was above average with great flavor. Roof top bar was an excellent place for cold beverage . The service retrieving your vehicle was very quick. All the employees seemed to like their job and they were friendly and helpful. We will certainly return in the future.
This hotel is basically a motel. Stayed 5 nights. Was disappointed with cleanliness and customer service. Room wasn't cleaned two days in a row - had to ask for towels and toiletries one of the two days that it wasn't cleaned. When it was cleaned, the toiletries were not replenished. Couple times the room wasn't cleaned until late (4-5 pm). Funky smell from water (faucets and bath). Windows are thin - can hear everything (heads up, you will definitely hear the peacocks, doors, people talking outside the room). Sink was clogging. Pillows hard/lumpy and bed not ”premium” (no pillowtop) as noted. No drapes in room as stated in site. Pictures are deceiving on their site. The motel needs upkeep - painting, cleaning, maintenance. Breakfast subpar. One time the eggs tasted like they were re-heated. The employee working in the breakfast area did not smile once, say good morning, or have any hospitality. They need more help at this place - and better help (people who are happy to be there and happy to welcome their guests and take pride in it. When we checked out, they didn't even ask how our stay was. This place should be much cheaper (motel pricing). Next time we will go to one of the other better known hotels, even if it's pricier. That would have made a much bigger difference on our trip. When you go on vacation, you want to feel comfortable, and taken care, and feel the welcoming, warm atmosphere from it's employees when you arrive, during your stay, and at the end when you check out. You also want a clean room - everyday. This place didn't provide that. Just being close to attractions doesn't cut it.
I had a stay Sarah is amazing the pool and hot tub are clean nice quiet place to stay at a hotel and every one is so helpful and has time for everyone the bar restaurant is great and so is the breakfast and you always have someone cleaning you will love your stay
I originally was booking another Hilton in St. Augustine (Homewood Suites) but it was expensive so the reservationist suggested Spark. I booked it without looking a reviews, but did look later and some of them were concerning but it was just for a short stay of one night. We came to check in around 9 pm and had to give our license plates for parking. There was a music festival (Sing out Loud) going on, so downtown was busy. I'd booked two rooms for me and my husband and my daughter and her two children. I entered my room and noticed there was a garbage can full of trash and a brown paper bag. I called downstairs to tell them, but then noticed towels crumpled up, wet washcloths and slimy soap, with a hair tie on the floor for good measure. They had given me a room that hadn't been cleaned. I guess the fact the bed was made threw me off. I went downstairs to get a new room. They didn't have one with a King bed, so I got two queens. The front desk worker didn't really apologize, just shook her head and said ”I'm not going to say anything,” like she was used to this kind of problem. The one thing I think she would've said was: ”I'm sorry.” After that, the room was fine, although we could never get the TV to work. The hotel is in a good location, close to the Fort and the historic district. The shampoos, soap and conditioner are in a large dispenser (not minis) and there are no cups in the room, but there are cups downstairs. You can also get tea or coffee 24/7. The breakfast was bagels, cream cheese, Yoplait yogurt and muffins in cellophane (Bran, Blueberry and Banana). It was fine for what it was. My one complaint about Spark, obviously, is the dirty room and lack of acknowledgment of the inconvenience. You need a key to use the restroom in the lobby. I took photos of the first dirty room and then places in the second where there was a split in the door and paint missing. Apparently the hotel was recently redone, but it looks like a little bit of a sloppy job (at least with painting). The gentleman at the front desk the next morning was helpful.

ゲゲストThe cleaning staff is very hard working. The room was great for the price besides from the sticking door. Breakfast was what expected and parking was a plus. Landscape died. Courtesy and service at the counter needs to be a bit better. Keys deprogrammed daily. Water pressure at sink was insufficient but shower worked well. Lobby, specially the feeble signature oak staircase gives you a cheap and haunted welcome and feels unsafe....what were they thinking? For the price, i shouldn't be complaining...but it takes so little to improve the experience. So, why not?
The manager lady was a complete joke and incompetent at her job duties. Their website claimed the beach is “200 ft” from the beach. It is in fact not, more like over 1000 feet. I asked her for any compensation due to this problem, their website is based on false advertising. She refused to do anything for THEIR misleading information. Completely unacceptable as a manager she quote on quote claimed it is not their problems, even after I insisted if ur going to manage this place then update ur website. Not to mention my room smelled like cigarettes and toilet was barely function-able. Had to switch rooms and still there was issues. I’m upset how poorly her attitude about this issue. Will come back with a complaint to Better Business Bureau. Not even a sorry for their mistakes. If your wanting to book ur stay here bc it’s close to the beach, IT IS NOT!! Otherwise good luck
